Grand Prix Trial - Columbus
Saturday July 3rd
Entry Fee: $25
Registration: Starts @ 11 am
Tournament: Starts @ Noon
Format: Legacy Constructed

8 Players: 3 Rounds, Single-elimination
9-16 Players: 4 Rounds, cut to Top 4
17-32 Players: 5 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
33-64 Players: 6 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
65-128 Players: 7 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination


A number of third round byes will be awarded based on the attendance of the Grand Prix Trial:

Number of Players___Number of 3 Round Byes

8 – 32__________________1
33 – 64_________________2
65 – 128________________4
129+___________________8

Prizes:

In addition to byes prizes will be awarded to top finishers as follows:

1st ~ 1 ROE booster box
2nd ~ 24 ROE booster packs
3rd & 4th ~ 15 ROE boosters

If we get 25+ players we will extend prizes to 5th-8th
If we get 50+ players we will extend prizes to 9-16th

There is a big Vintage tournament in Blue Bell on the same day.

Also, it's pretty weak to advertise this less than a week away from the event. Did you not schedule it until last night?

The whole only packs for prizes is kinda depressing. By the looks of it, I'd rather go watch the vintage.

its just not worth the trip down to philly to play for packs. sure byes are great but its like at least a $40 trip including entrance fee with no guarantee that going x-1 will even get me anything. the EV is just awful.

yeah... i won't be going if the prizes are packs. legacy players do not want packs.

I guess maybe I could open an emrakul and than play aeons bridge. Packs kind of suck as prizes for legacy.

As an FYI, they ended up giving out M11 Packs (ie. basically store credit).

I live in West Chester PA and was going to head down with a couple of people but as stated above, packs just don't appeal to us.

There any information up about what was played?
