[SCD] Tortured Existence

The card I want to discus is Tortured Existence

Enchantment
B: Choose and discard a creature card.
Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand.

So this has always been one of my favorite cards and I could never really find a home from it, but recently I started playing pauper and fell in love with the deck dead dog.

4 Terramorphic Expanse
2 Golgari Rot Farm

4 Basking Rootwalla
4 Vampire Hounds
4 Grave Scrabbler
4 Wild Mongrel
4 Putrid Leech
4 Golgari Brownscale
2 Crypt Rats
2 Gorgon Recluse
2 Brain Gorgers

4 Tortured Existence
2 Echoing Decay


Now there is really good synergy with this deck but it is way to slow for legacy (the fact that it’s all commons doesn’t help :tongue:). I don’t know if Dead Dog could be adapted or not but it has some really cool combos with Tortured Existence like, life gain with Golgari Brownscale and recurring mass removal with Crypt Rats.

Now this card can provide amazing card advantage in a way similar to Survival of the Fittest. It gives you the ability to recur cards like Shriekmaw or play creatures with madness while gaining a card for only B.

One problem I can see is that it would be in another graveyard deck and there is a lot of graveyard hate out there right now.

It is an amazing powerful card but could it be used in the current legacy meta?
