Sacrificing Dauntless Escort to kicked Gatekeeper of Malakir?

My opponent casts a kicked Gatekeeper of Malakir and I sacrifice a Dauntless Escort, does the Escort's ability making my other creatures indestructible until end of turn trigger? Or do I not get the benefit of sacrificing him since I'm not sacrificing him to pay his effect's cost, I'm sacrificing him to pay for the Gatekeeper's ability.?

Dauntless Escort does not have a triggered ability. Either you sacrifice it to its ability (which by the way, has no effect on the sacrifice action) and must sacrifice another creature (if you control any) or you sacrifice it to the Gatekeeper, and you don't get the Escort's ability's effect.
