Alright guys,

There is this video of an alledged M11 pack being opened. The cards revealed from that pack are already been spoiled or reprints.

Heres that video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3hfBr-DdFc&feature=related

Now, one thing that caught my attention was the Disney's Sorcerer's Apprentice ad behind its tips and tricks card.

Would anyone like to explain this? Did I miss something?

Discuss.

Nah. They just started putting ads on the back of tokens and tip cards. There is no corporate joining something something. It just so happened that the ad was for some Disney shiz.

Well there IS also flavor text that includes a quote from Alice in Wonderland.

Well, there's flavor text from Edgar Allen Poe also, but I doubt a merger will happen with his estate either. I'm sure they just got smart and decided to sell off ad space.

Are these ads making boosters cheaper or is it still like $100 for a box?

Hasbro has a merchandising contract with Disney. Not really much to speculate on here.

I would bet heavily on a Wizards/Disney collaboration soon. Don't forget the whole "Magic movie" potentially coming out.

is this really a thread? really?

It's called marketing, not conspiracy.

Marketing is a conspiracy

How is this a conspiracy when it's neither secret nor illegal? Either way, I never thought I'd see people complain about the prices of cards going down for once.

I really hope that's what exactly happens

I don't know which card you mean, but as far as I know Alice in Wonderland has been written by Lewis Caroll, who isn't/wasn't affiliated with either Disney or MTG.

Actually, it was Charles Dodgeson. Lewis Carrol was the name he published under because he was a known child molester and who really wants to buy books written by a child molester?

The card is Pearled Unicorn, and Charles Lutwidge Dodgson isn't/wasn't affiliated with either Disney or MTG.

But I'm pretty sure they're affiliated with child molesters. This isn't really a conspiracy either.

The paedophilia charges aren't contemporary with Dodgson but rather an assumption of later biographers, and even then he's not actually accused of actual molestation as much as being attracted to them.

I thought it was a custom of the time for grown men of a certain class to have "friendships" with really young girls. Because they embodied some ideal of youth and beauty or something? Anyway, that's my understanding. I don't believe that he would have been considered a pervert in his own time.
