Alright,
I was playing with someone on MWS. He/she was running merfolk and we both seem to have a little misunderstanding concerning Merrow Reejerey.
Heres are the scenario.
1) My opponent has an active Aether Vial at 3 and a Merrow Reejerey. At the end of my turn, he Vialed in a Wake Thrasher. He tried to untap Vial from the Reejerey trigger. Can he/she do that?
2) My opponent has an empty field and casts a Merrow Reejerey. Apparently since he/she 'played' the Reejerey, he can tap or untap a permanent. Can he/she do that?
3) My opponent has an active Merrow Reejerey on the field. He/she hardcasts a Lord of Atlantis. His/her Lord of Atlantis gets countered with Force of Will. Even though Lord of Atlantis did not enter the field, does this still trigger Reejerey?
Once again, thanks y'all

No, No, Yes
Just read Merrow Reejerey, it says nothing about entering the battlefield etc.

This. A bit more explanation:
1) No because he isn't casting the Wake Thrasher (i.e. announcing the spell of Wake Thrasher), he's activating an Aether Vial.
2) No because he isn't even in play when the ability should trigger. It triggers when a Merfolk spell is announced.
3) Yes, because just announcing the Lord of Atlantis puts the trigger on the stack. In other words, the Reejerey tap/untap ability will resolve before the Lord of Atlantis. An announced Merfolk spell immediately triggers the Reejerey, which then goes on the stack.
Hope that gives a bit more of the why.

This is answered by the link to Gatherer above, but yes. Lord of Atlantis was changed, or has Errata, to read "Creature- Merfolk" and it's text changed from "All merfolk get +1/+1 and Islandwalk." to "All other merfolk get +1/+1 and Islandwalk."
He will gain benefits from Reejery and a leveled up Coralhelm Commander, but will not pump himself or give himself islandwalk.
If you ever have a doubt on something such as a creatures type or errata, Gatherer is a great resource. Look up the card and click "oracle text" and it will give you the most up to date wording for cards that needed to be changed for whatever reason.
