I've just moved to Boston from Montreal (where there's a huge legacy community) but I haven't been able to find a regular Legacy event anywhere in the city or surrounding area:mad:. Anyone know where to play legacy in Boston??

You really can't and it sucks. A few attempts to make tournaments happen have fallen through, but there seems to be plenty of people who are willing to get together informally at least, search around in the couple of threads about it. There's stuff in Danvers and Bridgewater, but calling those "Boston" is a bit generous.

Wednesday: 1 hr south of Boston in Bridgewater at 7pm, weekly ELD legacy at Scholars
Sunday: 1 hr west of Boston in Worcester at noon, weekly legacy at That's E
This Saturday: Foil goyf tourney at DHG, 1 hr south of Boston in Pawtucket, RI

This is pretty much what you have for Boston legacy

holy crap that sucks. there's a SCG 5k here in november and i'm going to be hard pressed to practice. With any luck i'll find some good standard players here who will test with me.

on that subject, anyone interested in some legacy in boston let me know!!

Posted in the Tourney Thread, but if anyone from Boston is driving down and has an extra spot, I'd gladly throw in on gas for a ride down.

The problem is, right now there is only 1 store in Boston that has magic events. For a while we were meeting at Pandemonium in Central Square for Vintage on Wed and we were playing legacy there as well. That dried up when a few guys moved away, but if people are interested in playing legacy there, I would show up.
There are actually a lot of players around here, just no organization.

What are peoples transportation situations? I'd be fine with holding semi-regular "events" (anything from testing sessions to sanctioned tourneys) at my place. I feel like enough of the people who play Legacy in the Boston area would be fine with having 6-8 people over to get some playing in if we wanted to have a rotating thing going.

Is there still a playtest group going on on Wednesdays?

Also was anyone planning to make the trip up to Vestal this Saturday?

Of course I don't check the source yesterday and miss out on some playtesting. I will try and get there next week if people are interested.
