I know there's another thread, but mine is currently Type 2.

Creatures: 20
Knight Exemplar x 4
Knight of the Reliquary x 4
Student of Warfare x 4
Fauna Shaman x 4
Knight of the White Orchid x 4

Artifacts: 4
Behemoth Sledge x 2
Basilisk Collar x 2

Spells: 12
Path to Exile x 4
Day of Judgement x 2
Oblivion Ring x 2
Honor of the Pure x 4

Planeswalkers: 4
Ajani Goldmane x 2
Elspeth, Knight Errant x 2

Land: 20
Sunpetal Grove x 4
Stirring Wildwoods x 4
Plains x 7
Forest x 5

I haven't tested this out yet, but I'm really excited to built it. I'm not expecting to win PTQs with it, but it seems like it'd be really fun to run. So I splashed some green into this deck for Knight of the Reliquary, Behemoth Sledge, and Fauna Shaman. In addition to the Sledge I included the Basilisk Collars because we have a lot of First Strikers and the Sledge goes nice on a pumped KotR and it pushes more damage through with tramplers. The Fauna Shaman is there to fetch the ever important Knight Exemplar.

I'm also thinking about throwing in a single Baneslayer Angel in to fetch with the Shaman for a nice finisher.

Is it the intention to have an at least semi competitive deck, or just something for fun around the kitchentable?

I don't expect to build a Tier 1 deck, but I'm thinking it'll be at least semi competitive. It's definitely not budget either, so I'm happy to hear any suggestions.

Honestly there isn't much of a reason to run Knights in Legacy without the Haakon, Stromgald Scourge engine. You can recur Nameless Inversion to pick off your opponent's creatures, and recur stronger creatures like Knight of the Reliquary to beat countermagic. Otherwise, you are a slow aggro deck that loses to spot removal and countermagic on your lords.

EDIT:
Skeggi started developing something like this a while back: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?17625-%5BDeck%5D-Kniggets
I branched off from his build to go for a more control style: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?17644-%5BDeck%5D-Meth-and-Taxes

No matter what, take a look at that Skeggi's decklist. He's my hero for a reason...
