Update: More consistency from: -1 Explosives -1 Duress +2 Ponder
OBEY has been constructed to maximize speed and disruption while maintaining consistency.

(22) Combo/Search
4 helm of obedience
4 leyline of the void
4 Serum powder
4 Enlightened Tutor
4 Brainstorm
2 Ponder

(7) Disruption
4 thoughtseize
2 cabal therapy
1 Duress

(5) Added combo/control suite (2 choices)
Preferred - Painter suite (pros: faster, cons: creature hate)
2 Painter's Servant
1 Grindstone
1 Pyroblast
1 Red Elemental Blast

Or - Thopter suite (pros: bettter chump blocking, cons: slower, grave hate)][CARDS]
3 Thopter Foundry
2 Sword Of The Meek

(11) Mana enhancers[CARDS]
3 dark ritual
4 Grim Monolith
4 Mox Diamond

(15) land
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 City of Brass
1 Underground Sea
1 Badlands
1 Scrubland
4 Ancient tomb

How to play: Serum Visions increases the likelyhood of a free Leyline.
Keep a hand with minimum :
a) Leyline, >=1 mana, 1 of either brainstorm or Enlightened tutor.
b) Painter or Grindstone, >=1 mana, 1 of either brainstorm or Enlightened tutor.

General observations:
Monolith >> dark ritual,
1 more land may be needed
Although the Explosives suck in goldfish, they are probably a good thing
1-2 more searchers could help. Sensei’s divining top?, Carefule Study?, Lim Dul’s Vault (tough mana requirement)

Sideboard
2 Duress
(vs. Krosan Grip, or control)
2 Stifle
(for combo, qasali, oblivion ring, tendrils, kiki-jiki, sacland, many others)
2 Cursed Totem
(vs.qasali pridmage etc.)
2 Engineered Explosives
(vs. chalice@1, infinite tokens, weenie swarm)
2 Krosan Grip
1 Pursuit of Knowledge
(vs. Counterbalance)
1 Ensnaring bridge
2 Pithing Needle
(vs. survival)
1 Wheel of Sun and Moon

The land count seems really low actually. Especially if you aim to support 4 Mox Diamond. I get that you're trying to go for speed and therefore maxing out on accelerants but I'd suggest dropping the Diamonds altoghether for 4 additional lands. This should give you some resilience to Wasteland, make your starting 7s less clunky, and give your Thopter combo more potentcy when it comes online.

If you want more free mana, try Lotus Petal instead of Mox Diamond.

I like the Vintage decks that mix the Leyline+Helm combo with the Dark Depths-combo.

Another nice interaction for decks that need to get Enchantments into play is Academy Rector and Cabal Therapy. Then you could also run cards like a singleton Form of the Dragon.

While most of these interactions and combos are probably better in Vintage because of the lack of enchantment and creature-removal in that format they are still some nice combos.

Mox Diamond needs like 24 lands or something to work properly, Lotus Petal or Chrome Mox or something should be better, if that kind of acceleration is needed.

4 Helm of Obediance seems too much, it does very little without the rest of the combo.

The Painter Grindstone-combo really works better in a control-shell combined with Dreadnought and Stifle to maximize the use of Trinket Mage (which also likes Engineered Explosives, by the way).

Grim Monolith seems pretty unexciting without Voltaic Key.

I cannot see any reason to not run 4 Dark Ritual in a deck that likes mana acceleration.

Brainstorm loses a lot of value without fetchlands.

I made a mono-black deck with Scrying Sheets as a draw engine and a lot more stuff to gear the deck towards control if you want to see the other side of this deck's coin.

Yeah, this has been noted in the article today.

Land works well (only needs 1 land or 2 mana to work) The double mox situation is not very frequent, and is alleviated by brainstorm.
Also, low land increases the power of Serum Visions. Test this. The mana is more stable than it looks. And Dark Ritual is NOT that good in this deck I started with 4, cut 1 and I am constantly wondering if I can cut more.
@jrsthethird : Lotus Petal is POOR in a deck that uses brainstorm and thoughtseize in the early game. Reusable mana is better. This deck is already full of one time use cards and cannot afford more. I know this from testing with 4 petals for speed in place of the disruption. = NOT GOOd
