Put flyer up. Kept text form under it. It's a great flyer, my friend and judge joe harrington made it. Just to clarify the duals I'm giving away are all revised. In the flyer they are shown as blackbordered. I didn't tell him to do that :p

Looking forward to this event and it's predecessor this weekend.

Just a reminder those who play in both August's and September's events get $5 store credit for attending.

Thanks as always for the support.

Is there anyone else here who is going to miss this event because they are going to the 5k on the same day? I'd love to come play this if it could somehow be moved to Saturday the 18th...

I vote on moving it. I hate to miss these as its so close to home (and I usually do good).

Yeah I'd definitely miss you guys, but unfortunately the date is set in stone. I just can't move it this close to the actual date, and there is only one competing tourney and I don't consider it local. SCG Baltimore is 8-10 hours away from my area. I'm aware there are a couple regulars going to it and I wish them good luck, but I can't change the date.

I have alot of locals who made various committments to come to this tourney already. I know of at least 4 people who didn't come to the August one, but are coming to this one and took work out for it.

Definitely don't blame anyone who opts to go to SCG instead. They run good tourneys. But I also know my tourney will be good, and if you attended August's and come to this one you get $5 credit.

I haven't given out Underground Seas in a while, mainly because it takes a while to get them.

All other times undergrounds were in the prize pool the entry fee was also higher. This is the first time a $20 tourney of mine has featured Seas as the headlining prize. I believe this will be a really great tourney. It's following up this past weekend's leagacy which was an absolute blast. If you can make it I think you'd have a great time, if not I understand and hopefully see you whenever my next one happens. I can tell you this is the last of my duals for a while, so I don't know when I'll be running another legacy. Could be the last one for 2010, but we'll see.

Thanks for the input, even if you don't end up making this. I appreciate the interest in my events.

Hopefully see you on 9/19 at my store :-)

This makes me very sad.

On a brighter note I just noticed the Jon Finkel facts in your sig, my favorite:

Thanks for the support John. I will try to run another one before the end of the year but it's tricky getting alot of duals. Usually takes me a while. The only reason I was able to have back to back tourneys this time around was because I had a sudden influx of people trading and selling me them. I always appreciate those who trade/sell me duals as it lets me run more Legacy.

I really enjoy running Legacy at my store and try to run it as much as possible. Thanks again for supporting me, even if you can't make the next one. Here's an album from my last tourney and you are in it.

The trip to Baltimore didn't work out.
4 more duals and 10 hours less driving sounds good to me though.

Don't forget $5 credit since you attended my last one. =D

My upcoming Sunday Legacy has been getting really good buzz... better than normal I would say. Lots of local stores offered to let me put up fliers and I obliged. Lots of locals who don't normally show to the bigger legacy tourneys have told me they'll be there.

I'm used to most of the 30-40 players for these being outside of the local area, but I think alot will be locals this time around so that should add to the attendance... which means adding to the prizes as well =D

I have alot of good stuff lined up for the goody table, and I believe there's a good chance of paying out to top 12 (35 players) or even top 16 (40 players). I will also have side events for From the Vault: Relics. 8 person single elim with first place getting a from the vault and second getting $20 store credit. Only $10 entry for those.

Really can't wait for this. I've had it planned for months and as always I appreciate your support.

Thanks again =D

Definitely looking forward to seeing everyone.

This just in: We will have cable TV for this tourney! It's getting installed on Saturday so now you don't have to worry about missing football!

We also added a third HDTV for the sole purpose of making standings/pairings easier to view, plus the round clock will be displayed prominently on this new monitor.

We've been working towards cable TV and a third television for a while and excited to debut those new features this weekend.

This is really shaping up to being one of our bigger tourneys in a while, and I can't wait.

Hope to see you there.

Haha.

Also we have a 1pm box tourney for standard that is $10 that we hold every Sunday. There should be some people for that despite the many Legacy players I hope to see tomorrow.

Cable might not be coming in until Monday as I just found out, but I'll be able to possibly stream games on our third monitor.

Anyway should be a fantastic day. I'm immensely looking forward to it and thanks in advance to those who are showing.

32 players entered a very tough field. Congrats to Jon Ma (URG threshold) and John Kubilis (GWB Rock) on splitting finals and Nick Wilbur (Goblins) and Al Nota (Merfolk) for third and fourth. Also congrats to the rest of top 8 and thanks to everyone who came.

Due to overwhelming response and an influx of new duals coming in, there will be another one of these sooner than planned. Looks like at least one legacy more in 2010 :)

I'll have pics/decklists/full results up later in the week.

Really had a good time, thanks again.

Ha john for some reason I saw this coming lol. Your lucky I had work cause you know I would have top 4ed. And what did you go? 5-1-1? I'm not sure that's good enough to catch me, it will be close, but it doesn't matter because I won't lose this Sunday and you will go the usual 3-2. So keep dreaming. Maybe if you stopped running bad decks and ran blue cards id respect your play more haha. But I hope your rating is high tho so when I beat you I can win points compared to the usual 3 each round.

JKubilis
09-23-2010, 11:13 AM
Yeah 5-1-1 might not be enough to catch you , but after you scrub out at TE I should be ahead lol. Luckily for you I can't make it there this Sunday to make sure that happens though, so I guess you can leave your composts at home and play a real sb this week lol.

JKubilis
09-23-2010, 12:55 PM
Haha, thats funny, last time we played at TE I beat you and you didn't top 4...granted it was over a month ago, but thats because most weeks you pay Nate not to pair us up. I don't blame you though, its a smart move lol.
