I recently got back into magic after about 2 years since high school and probably 4 years before that (And I was never any good anyways); so I'm not up to date on all the new cards, but one of my favorite combos has got to be Kismet/Stasis/Chronatog, and one of my favorite archetypes is the re-animator deck, so I thought I'd try to combine them.
By the way everyone here throws around card names I can only assume everyone knows what they do already, and I would love to build a deck around it. My first problem is; there are 20,000 printed cards, so I don't know where to begin on building a deck.
So far I've got
Kismet
Stasis
Chronatog
Silence
Orim's Chant
Isochron Scepter
Buried Alive
Zombify
Life // Death
Academy Rector
Lost Auramancers
Blood Celebrant
Any sort of large creature to stomp face if the combo gets wrecked
I know Silence and Orim's Chant are very similar and for WW Orim's Chant shuts down an opponent's turn, but I don't know how the Kicker ability operates while the card is imprinted on the scepter.
My friend says this deck is a bad idea (I'm somewhat inclined to believe him, because he's actually good at magic, but I'd love to have it for casual games)
My second problem is I'm in college, so I don't have the money to throw 4 Underground Seas into it (I can proxy anything, but I'd like to own the entire deck), so I'll need to be able to put in cheap cards.
Other than those cards I have no idea where to begin and was hoping you guys could help me with it; and if this all is a terrible idea (like a 100 card deck is a terrible idea) then I'd be more than willing to just make it into a U/W control deck
