enric, why day of judgment over wrath of god?

Because a friend of mine sold them very cheap, and in fact it's the same, but the optimal is 1 Wrath of God and 1 Day of Judgment.

yeah, the split is to avoid meddling mage/cabal therapy easy 2-for-1 hits, makes sense - even though both scenarios are pretty rare.

btw, i like the deck a lot... is the 2 humility there because you don't have a moat or is it on purpose? (1 humility/1 moat) seems solid cuz of elspeth.

I don't have Moat but it's true that it'll be very good, maybe 2 humillity 1 Moat. The deck is the classic UWb Landstill but without Cunning Wish (I think they're too slow) and with 2 Sensei's, MVP. It's my first time playing a pure control deck so I'm very happy with the final result :smile:

Too bad there's the music this time on that video, I would have liked to hear what the Countertop player was saying seeing his stunned face as he was PWNed by Emrakul. It seemed he didn't know the card from his face.

In the Goblins vs Countertop video I believe there is a point where he played Path to Exile but the video shows a Swords to Plowshares (at around 4:34). You can tell because the Goblins player searches for a Mountain after it resolves.

Well, maybe he's not as bad as you want to make him be, if he made top8 after 7 rounds? I do agree that not cracking the fecth in response to the needle was very dumb tough...

He's not a bad player and his no land opening hand I'm sure it wasn't bad either. As a combo player, over many years I've kept hands and won many games with 0 lands. He obviously had his reasons to keep his hand. I was just giving a teaser of how game 3 starts.

Not fetching was bad. Good players (like him) are also human and make mistakes from time to time. Nothing against him as I know him well. On that tournament I did quite many mistakes on the key round and that left me out the top8. I suck :D

One interesting play that caught my eye was that he discarded sensei's top when he had too many cards in hand...
Did he have another one? if so, why didn't he play it and use it to dig?

I guess people do make mistakes. I do all the time. Heh, well thanks for the vids. Keep up the good work.

I'll glad also to hear your opinions about UWx landstill in the actual metagame, how did you felt with that list ? Especially VS merfolks, the worst match up (with TES) of the deck, engineered plague did its work well ?
