Hey everyone,

Sorry for the short notice, but I've got a definitive date for our second Legacy event at Pandemonium Books and Games in Cambridge, MA. It'll be a week from today, Sunday September 12th. Registration starts and store opens at noon, event starts at 1pm. Entry fee is $5, prizes in store credit determined by attendance.

Also, to avoid a similar short-notice issue for the next one, I'm also announcing our October legacy Sunday, on Sunday the 24th. This tournament will be a bit special as the first prize will be From the Vault: Relics, with additional store credit prizes based on attendance, entry fee $10.

Pandemonium is located in Cambridge right off of Mass. Ave in Central Square, at 4 Pleasant Street. Should you prefer landmarks to Google Maps or a GPS, Pleasant Street is the side street between 7-11 and the post office, and we're the first store on your left going down the street from Mass Ave.

I intend to hold a Legacy event one Sunday a month going forward. I know some people prefer the low-entry, come and play format, while others would prefer bigger prizes; if you're in the Boston community and have strong feelings either way, let me know in-thread or in person at the store.

Thanks, and hope to see you there!

Niko White
Games Manager, Pandemonium Books and Games

EDIT: Changed date of October tournament due to overlap with a SCG event.

If you're running monthly, it should be bigger prizes. If you're running weekly (and why not weekly?), it should be lower entry.

Sadly, we have too much going on to actually have space weekly, unless it stays really small. I'd far rather give room for the events to grow than have to cap it in the 16-20 range, because I'm pretty sure there's ultimately more demand than that.

I'm in if someone carpools from RI with me.

I also had the "going-to-the-Patriots-game" problem, but I should be there in October.

How'd this go? How many participants, any idea what showed up, etc.?

7 people showed up.

Playing:

2 TES
1 Cat Sligh
1 UW Landstill
1 BGW Rock (?)
1 Goblins
1 Zoo

Unsanctioned, 3 rounds, top 2 by tiebreakers get $15/$10 split.

I played TES and won and 2nd was the other TES player.

I was going to write a report, but that seems pointless given that only 7 people showed up.

I've changed the date of the October event to the 24th to avoid overlap with the SCG event in Boston on the 16th-17th.
