Back in the days, this card used to be good in Quinn or Stax, or perhaps as a budget version in decks that wanted Vindicate but didn't have access to it. With the format slowing down somewhat, and more aggro and control decks around, and of course with Emrakul, it should become a better card which could find a home in more decks. It's a three mana common that kills every relevant creature except Progenitus and Iona, and it can whack Jace and Elspeth too.

If you're playing white in an aggro or aggrocontrol list, would you run it these days? I'm thinking in the direction of zoo or bant lists.

With the rise of Emrakul it got a bit better.

But most deck have other kinds of removal that are real permanent. Having you removal on a Goyf destroyed by a Qasali seems too much of a liability.

I've been packing this in Zoo's sideboard for awhile now. I think it's fantastically underrated. You just can't rely on it to be one of your only removals. Fortunately when combined with STP or Path (Or both), it allows white to be both removal-heavy and versatile.

It's definiately on my list of sideboard cards for a long time. It's a very versitile card; for 3 mana, it'll fix your problem. It's one of the best answers for a planeswalker that I know of.

It's good against everything that isn't running Pridemage.

- It stop that stupid Emrakul eldrazi that people love to cheat into play.

- It stops planeswalkers.

- It stops random jank that might be causing you an issue.

Heh, I thought people did play it. I seem to have it in the board of anything that has white at the very least. Jace 2.0 was my biggest reason. That guy doesn't ever get to see more than a turn on the opposing side of my table that's for sure.
