Meta slot cards of your choice

The idea behind this deck is simple, get all 4 Bloodghast’s in the graveyard ASAP, then abuse its landfall ability as much as possible whal playing spells that enhance your Bloodghast’s. Normal removal doesn’t end up helping them much (with the acception of Path/Plowshares/Terminate) in getting rid of your Ghast’s. Ive found thru (casual) testing most decks really have a problem dealing with the Bloodghasts so early. They can (try) to race you, but usually cant.

A couple other nasty things you can do is splash white for Path to Exile and Soul Warden, making for a very nasty “kill my dudes and regret it” type deal whal gaining life every time they manage to off one of your Ghasts.

Splashing for Red also provides awesome results in the form of Terminate and Shared Amnesty. Lightning Bolt is also an option.

The Extractor Demons are your backup win condition; this is where im hoping you guys can help me with possibly working in some other combo type win condition. One of the main things wrong with this deck is it lacks long term steam against life decks. It also lacks targeted removal… suggestions please!

More posts on match-ups when i get more testing time!

If you are running Buried Alive, you might as well run Necrotic Ooze (fresh out of Scars of Mirrodin), Phyrexian Devourer and Triskelion. But in doing so, you will also need to run a Reanimator spell of some sort.

They look like nice enough cards, but really have little or no relevance at all in this deck. Necrotic Ooze sadly would not retain the #1 abuse target of this deck (Landfall). I could see Ooze in reanimator decks for sure (Shrouded, Annihilator Ooze anyone?) but im trying to keep all the cards in this deck 3 or less mana to cast. Keeping it fast and lethal.

Im thinking Skull Clamp.

Won't happen as Shroud and Annihilate are not activated abilities

After some tweaking, on the U/B version of this deck, I went to 22 lands from 24 and -1 Putrid Imp for 3 Jitte's, the jitte adds some punch that was much needed.

New list:

Spells:
4 Buried Alive
3 Lim-Dûl's Vault
3 Brainstorm
2 Thoughtseize
4 Dark Ritual
2 Echoing Truth
2 Chainer's Edict
4 Bad Moon

Artifacts:
3 Umezawa's Jitte

Creatures:
4 Bloodghast
4 Extractor Demon
3 Putrid Imp

Land:
5 Swamp
5 Island
4 Polluted Delta
4 Drowned Catacomb
4 Wasteland

This deck still has 1 major weakness: SOUL WARDEN You really have to deal with that whore fast or you dig yourself a hole real quick. I need better removal and am desperately seeking advice as the what I should use, suggestions! Doom blade seems so-so, I just cant think of a better answer.

Few things
Removal spell = smother
You should try sign in blood /night's whisper
Wonder is a good card
Careful study is good with wonder/bloodghast
Hymn to tourach might be warranted
Extirpate rapes you hard
Grafted wargear is actually better in this deck than Jitte since bloodghast isn't evasive (without wonder) and its free to equip
Red is probably a good splash since lightning bolt is sexy
You should probably run 3-4 of some random fatty that can win on their own such as tombstalker (though might not be needed if you use wonder and gatekeeper)
Gatekeeper of Malikar is a virtual 2 for 1 and can help plink with a wonder in the graveyard

Cards to consider:
Psychatog
Tombstalker
Stinkweed Imp
Darkblast
INTUITION
CABAL THERAPY
Necroplasm
Wonder

Intuition (much better than Buried Alive, as you can fetch answers and lands for landfall) and Cabal Therapy in particular seems tailor fit for what you want to accomplish. Psychatog alongside dredge cards (which also happens to put Ghasts in the 'yard) would give the deck some great reach, especially combined with various Intuition piles. Tombstalker is just a dumb beater that rides on the decks velocity (dredge, and active interactions).

Bad Moon looks most underwhelming, as mentioned above Grafted Wargear would probably be better - it adds the same amount of damage (3) on an empty defense and attacking with a recuring 5/3 (and maybe 2/1 friends) is alot more stressing than with a 3/2 (and maybe ditto friends).

All that being said I'd personally take it into a slightly more aggro-control-pseudo-comboish(tm) approach, something ala:
Creatures - 13
3 Tombstalker
3 Psychatog
1 Wonder
1 Necroplasm
1 Stinkweed Imp
4 Bloodghast

Disruption - 8
4 Force of Will
4 Cabal Therapy

Draw/Search - 10
4 Intuition
4 Brainstorm
2 Deep Analysis

Removal - 7
1 Darkblast
3 Diabolic Edict
3 Ratchet Bomb

Mana - 22
Chrome Mox?
Blablabladeltasseasbasicsblabla

Where the focus isn't so much as to win through Ghast beat-down (tho it's certainly a possibilty), but more to win the game through brute velocity.
