Some of you might of seen my other videos on the Vintage Metagame (in Chapin's articles or on the Mana Drain). In the same vein I present:

The Legacy Metagame (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwAGOrf4thk)

A short disclaimer. These videos are all pretty safe for work. However the humor is often Juvenile and its all intended as a joke. Take it with a grain of salt and I hope you enjoy.

If you do like it make sure to share with a friend.

You need to play around with that program a little more. Like with the phonetics and making the characters pause briefly after long statements.

Can you post the scripts for these? I enjoy the jokes, but the synthesised voices forced me to quit three minutes in, they're so annoying.

That voice makes me want to go on a murderous rampage and tell the police the voices made me do it.

I don't really find these funny. Maybe it's the voice.
Seriously, dude. You can buy a mic at the dollar store, and it'll make these a whole lot more bearable than they are now.
I fucking hate Microsoft Sam.

Voice is anoying. Comments are rather wrong too often.
Also, deck 1: Merfolk, deck2 Lands, Deck3 Zoo, Deck 3 Counterbalance... Not even keeping your count correct.
And not everyone feels that Survival needs to be run without Brainstorm. Some do and get good results, some people are just to stubborn or want stupid cards in it.

I appreciate the comments (especially constructive ones).

Re: The Voices
Some people like the voices and others don't. I took a poll after the first two videos on Facebook, and it was roughly 75% in favor so I have kept it to the robot voices. Using my own voice is doable but its very had to keep myself monotone. I have actually tried and its just less funny (in my opinion).

Re: The Scripts. I could try to get the scripts but a lot of them are written in awkward english. Because the the text-to-voice program is unrefined I have to use little tricks to increase its understandability (not a word). For example random commas to make short pauses. And replacing card/player names with phonetic versions. e.g. sigh tow and plains walkers. I do as much as possible to make the audio as clear as possible but obviously there are still limitations.

Re: Strategic Accuracy
I am aware that Survival can and has played brainstorm. However these videos aren't really here to be up to date tech. They are just for humor and to do that I aim for the memes that the legacy community has developed recently. And the first time we saw the Survival deck everyones first question was "Where is Brainstorm". Hopefully the video hits those memories.

I actually do think the robot voice is pretty cool :)

This is awesome. Voice was annoying, but the content great.

Well done.

I love the robot voice-it adds a huge dollop of deadpan to the snark that would be hard disguise using a real voice.

I thought the Vintage one was really great too. As a Noble Fish player I laughing at the Tinker bit, given how often I've lost to huge dumb robots with that deck.

Well I liked the voice AND the content. It was pretty clever. It might not be 100% accurate or latest tech as you said, but that isn't really the point of the video. Great stuff.

Great stuff Lucas.

I would also vote for a script to be copy pasted as well, i like reading more than videos.

I really like the robotic voice. The voice, along with the lack of pauses and words emphasized in the wrong places, really help the comedic effect of the video

I actually think the Design one was my favorite, though I liked the Legacy one as well. The above poster is right, the robot/bear voice adds so much deadpan that it gives each comment about 75% more snide then normal.

Dear Toor,

Thank you for putting something interesting and actually funny on YouTube. It is nice to see something other than "Pros" hyping themselves, stores trying to sell crap, or bad players talking about how awesome they are while showing a video displaying their player errors. Oh, and continue the funny vids.

Sincerely,
The MtG community

In case anyone has missed it, here's part 2:

He passed on the robot voice this time and recorded his own voice instead. I personally found the robot voice better, but meh. Funny stuff nonetheless.

Totally!! The voice is perfect. "beaten by a tree and saved by a dolphin" is also the quote of the year:)) Blue is magic's "favorite child" indeed, and green was mostly a mindless nothing 5-10 years ago. I'll stay tuned for more stuff mate:D Nice work!

Very funny and accurate. I liked the pictures in the part 2, but the robot voice was better. Maybe combine the two.

I'm guessing you play Tezz in Vintage and either CB or Landstill in Legacy since you didn't bash those decks.

In case you guys didn't notice part 2 is up in different versions one with Xtranormal the other not. The pictures from the other version actually took me forever and I don't think thats happening again. I also think this will be the end of legacy at the moment as I try some other topics.

But thanks for all the positive comments and make sure to check out the other videos and share these ones

This is really lame without the robot voice.

"Strengths: Tom Martel got Top 8 at a GP with this deck. If you know Tom Martel, then enough said. If you don't know Tom Martel then imagine how good this deck is if it can make a nobody Top 8 a Grand Prix."
