Anyone heading to this from the valley?

Am I the only one that finds it sad that a Mindsculptor is expensive enough to warrant being a second place prize at a Vintage tourney?

Nope, I think it's perfectly fine for a 2nd place prize.

I may be joining this event if I can find a deck I like in time. Let's see how it goes :o

I don't think he was complaining about a Jace being a 2nd prize, rather, that it is worth so much that it qualifies for a 2nd place prize.

That said, I don't live near this tournament but people who are should go! Vintage is so much fun and not what a person might think its like if you have not played it before.

One of the nice things about the 10 proxy system is that allows most people to convert over there legacy decks with minimal financial requirements.
As far as Jace is concerned, it is unfortunate for everyone that the demand is so high for it and drives the prices so high.

Oh well, hope to have a good turnout, see you guys on the 17th.

I will be in attendance and am excited to see what decks everyone will be playing. Should be a fun event!

If you can't find a ride I can probably swing by from Beverly Hills adjacent. Where do you live approximately?

Super sweet - 20 people showed up, including Patrick Chapin and Matt Sperling, along with some locals.

Tons of Oath and Trygon BUG lists made it to the top tables, including one Metalworker MUD.

I played Blue Aggro Stax to a dissappointing 2-3 finish. Winning the die roll is important I suppose (rolled snake eyes to open the day >_<)

Still a great event overall!
