Either of those packs I think are cool. The slivers are mostly Japanese and Russian which makes them pretty cool and the lands are a bit of everything from Japanese BB 4th edition up to foil Snow-covered lands from CS to Japanese full frame zendikar. I think German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Italian and whatever else is represented. Nothing too fancy in either of them but they made the cut how many times in my collection when I sell off tons of cards. So basically, not high value but something that not everybody has.

Got elf/Sliver package today. Nice farting sliver. lol I was quite happy with the lot since I wasn't expecting a regular foil Sakura Elder. I was never fond of the FNM one so I really liked that. Definite EDH add in. What's funny is quite a few of the cards are actually useful to me. Like for some reason I never managed to pick up a 4th Overrun from Odyssey and have been making people cringe with some WB one for ages. Oh and of course Russian Wood elves made the whole thing for me anyway.

Overall, super-successful SS so far. I think it's safe to say that we've raised the bar for number of participants, on-time shipping and average quality of gifts across all participants. It makes me feel great knowing that Legacy Magic players around the world are sharing in the joy of giving. I know it's hard to give up awesome cards when you're not sure what you'll get in return but I think that the spirit of giving has eclipsed the fear of getting a lump of coal. That's something to be proud of.

Well I now have confirmation that everyone sent which far exceeded my expectations. Thanks everyone for a super-successful SS. Don't forget to post in the brag thread and I will keep this thread open until everyone has either confirmed receipt or the mods shut it down. I had a lot of fun and hope everyone else did too. There's always a few bumps in the road but I think that overall the spirit was with us and anyone who did not participate this year should want to join us next.

I dont know about the US but here in Ca-na-dhu, since the 25 anf 26 where week-end post offices where close yesterday and today, so if you take the rule of thumb that during the holydays you double the average deliverie time and add the closed days, your pack yould get there before the end of the week.

Also, for international senders, air trafic betwen America and Europe is abck to normal, so it should help a couple of package.

That's correct. We set a suggested minimum estimated value gift limit so that people don't send out junk. Some people opt to send out more, it's up to you how generous you want to be. Everyone that wants to join pledges and then they are randomly matched to others. It's supposed to be a secret until the gift is received at which time people can reveal who they were if they like. Every year people run it a bit differently. I'm not sure if the same person has organized the event twice. I'm excited to find out who will step up and run the show next year.

I know of at least one sender who got their package back. I may ask them to send it to me and I will forward it on. I will also reimburse them the shipping costs they have incurred (short the initial shipment). If anyone did not receive, I will take care of them myself so I know a number of you pledged support of this effort so I'd be happy to either connect you as a surrogate SS with someone who did not receive or you can send stuff to me to redistribute. This is not a scam, I hope at the very least, I've proven myself as not selfish or self-serving. I just want to make sure everyone gets something so they will come away from this with a good experience.

Actually, it looks like we're very close to 100%. A couple people got less than they expected which would be nice to rectify but all in all, a great showing. Not sure how to handle these cases if at all but it would be great if everyone came away from this with a positive experience. Not to sound like a prick but I feel like I've done my part. If anyone wants to take it further (whatever that means), feel free.

I was hoping you had not traded for a set in the meantime; they were on your want list and I actually pulled them from packs myself played with them 2 times double sleeved, figured you could sell a NM/M set pretty easy if you had.
