I guess my question is about equiping in general, but I ony started wondering because of Livewire Lash:

If I have the Lash equiped to a creature, lets say a Blight Mamba, and I activate the equip ability of the Lash, targeting the same Mamba, do I get to deal 2 damage?

If this is true, that equipment is going into every deck with creatures with infect Ill build. It would be an even better mana sink than the new Masticore :)

Livewire Lash's ability triggers for spells only, so no, you won't get to deal any damage.

Wow,

a true classic case of RTFC.

This thing can be closed :)

Otherwise, you could go for infinite damage with Nomads en-Kor and friends in a dirt-cheap two card combo.

That's what I thought when it was spoiled differently to trigger from abilities, too.

I actually thought the same too Atwa, and in fact misplayed as such in limited pre-release. Basically I thought I had the most powerful synergy combo: Play an artifact, trigger Painsmith, targetting my Ichorclaw Myr equipped with Livewire Lash, and then trigger Livewire Lash deal 2 damage (infect counters on my opponent), swing for 3 more poison. Die next turn.

Apparently I need to RTFC as well lol.

Same here. *oops*

Pretty much just read "becomes the target of" and then stopped. Selective comprehension ftw!
