View Full Version : Something similar like Humility

Two days ago we were playing some Highlander with Archenemy...

First game, me as archenemy was beatiful victory. Second game the archenemy has beaten us, third the Humility stopped the game, and with Elspeth and indestructible Humility was game completely stalled, so Archenemy was just hopelessly looking...

After 1 hour I managed to tap Archenemys creatures and bounce the Humility out of game and start my own combo to win.

I am looking for similar effect as the humility does. Damping matrix can do the ability stuff, however i have no idea how to fix creatures in blue/artifact combinantion.

There isn't much that has that effect. Humility is in it's own world really. There's a couple of single shot type instants that do that, but nothing else. The closest thing is probably a creature, this one. godhead of awe

Really good cards indeed, however i am looking for something monoblue/artifact/colorless for my HL deck...

I'll try to recommend both including damping matrix to the lady with the humility. It will take hours for us to finish the game.

Been researching my Blue album (800-1000 different blue cards approximately).

Stasis - good one, however almost illegal card on tournaments here. Not because of banning, but because of bad tour rules which require 3 games to be played in less than 1 hour with HL deck.

War Tax/Propaganda - since most players are using the white weenie aggro or similar variations can be very useful. However in HL games players have enough mana, so they dont care about that.

Crawlspace / silent arbiter - already tested againts elf deck. Not bad at all.

Arcane laboratory - bit different story, but requires cards which are currently not a part of my deck. Ertai, or other counter wizards.

If i think again that I want to stop monsters to do anything there is another way. Indirect land destruction or creature play prevention like:
Aether barrier, Invoke prejudice or overburden.


Edit: I think i got it. Creature which cant be played cannot attack or activate abilities. Does not solve problem which is currently on battlefield, but prevention is better as paying for cure :D

I have quite a lot of cards which can cause opponent to tap his lands. Static orb, Winter orb and Rising Waters are three cards which can turn this temporal advantage into something which can last bit longer.
