This is my newest concept. At this point I am not sure if it is viable or not. It seems that it maybe. However I am worried with all the counter out there in the format. I am looking for ideas. The deck works pretty well locking down land mana sources. It destroyes burn decks hoses combo have not tried it against countertop. The card choices are probably not optium. I feel it needs a draw engine maybe Skeletal Scrying. It may also need more Land Destruction in sinkholes. What you are aiming to do on turn one is get out an Ankh, Bonds, Worms, or Desolation. Then use the tutors to lock the board down futher with Winter Orb. Once lock is established bring out the Divinity of Pride and swing away.

Does anyone have any experiance with a deck like this or am I totaly off my rocker with this concept? Please post your thoughts and I would apperciate feedback not just a no this deck sucks tell me why. Can we make it viable? Thanks for looking and reading through.

Diabolic intent and culling the weak seem out of place when you have less sac targets than the two cards combined. Since you wont really be using either nip or memnite to really swing ftw anyway, they may be better as shield sphere, phyrexian walker, or even wall of omens or wall of hope.

It definitely needs sinkhole, some disruption, and lands ; ). I don't know what lands you plan on running, but rhystic scrying as the only blue card seems awkward. If you want to keep blue, spell pierce and mana leak seem ok, maybe with disrupt in the board. If you cut blue, mana tithe may not be terrible.

Hey Zork

Ok try this on for size version 2.0 Ghost Quarter is money in the bank. What an amazing card with what I am trying to accomplish. I feel that Thoughtseize will hold weight even late game better than hymn.

//Lands
4 Ghost Quarter
4 Wasteland
4 Mishra's Factory
6 Swamp

//Creatures
4 Dark Confidant

//Spells
4 Contamination
4 Desolation
4 Chrome Mox
4 Thoughtseize
4 Sinkhole
4 Dark Ritual
3 Crucible of Worlds
3 Bitterblossom
4 Grasp of Darkness
4 Chimeric Idol

It still needs some kind of tutors. Also need something to deal with the loss of life. Ideas anyone?

Yeah found out this bad boy isnt going to work. Its too slow and way to easy to stop with counter. Now its become more of a MBA/MBC deck with discard and LD along with big fatties. I will post the decklist if anyone is interested.
