Does Mimic Vat work in this way?

you have a Mimic Vat[/carsd] and [cards]mind slaver in play.

You cast Karn's touch on the slaver making it a creature and sacrifice it to take control of your opponent. Can you imprint the slaver on the vat and then each consecutive turn get a hasted slaver token and then be able to sacrifice said token to control your opponent forever.

The tag is cards.

Yes, that works just fine. Once the card is imprinted on Mimic Vat, it doesn't care what characteristics the card actually has.
