Hey Guys,
I was just wondering if someone had any info on the results of the main Legacy side event at GP Toronto this weekend. Prizes were an Unlimited Ancestral Recall for 1st and a Tabernacle for 2nd, I think. No Rush!
Cheers,

I was going to go to this event but my job got in my way.
I would love to see the results.

I was on the main event. Cdr was head judging it, he said 1 survival deck in the top 8, but I don't know any other details.
50 players. A ton of janky, fun decks. Huge amounts of combo.
I couldn't take the lists. Skyfox Games might post them, but I wouldn't count on it.
I didn't see how the T8 played out because I went back the GP side for the end of day debriefing.
T8 after swiss (not final):
1 - Lapan, Felix
Hulk Rebirth (Protean Hulk/Pattern of Rebirth)
2 - Oyan, Andrew
G/B Survival Madness
3 - Kuntz, James
Cat Zoo
4 - Seguin, Shawn
Dream Halls (Beacon/Cure kill)
5 - Rogers, Erik
Rbg Goblins
6 - Cameron, Ryan
Ub Merfolk
7 - Phan, Lam
Canadian Thresh
8 - Trufasiu, Razvan
43 Land
The canadian legacy players are good people and I enjoyed seeing/meeting you guys.

I know Jon Barber said that Merfolk was everywhere in that event. Presumably because it's one of the easiest Legacy decks to put together, and because not many players at a limited GP are going to have less of a Legacy collection to build decks from.
I approve 100% at seeing Elbow Breaker take it.... well, I suppose it's probably not really breaker if it's not running Surviva and Rector.

Hah, Dream Halls. Good to see some variety in the decks. Nice everyone!

Nice, I love legacy, that you can go against the grain and not play a tier deck, dream halls a deck that's been under the radar for awhile, and win a ancestral recall. If one of my friends was going to play dream halls in a tournament I would've told them have fun playing at the lower tables. Congrats on the huge prize.

Can we get some lists on these decks? That Pattern deck seems like it could be cool.

i'd be really interested.
The TO, Skyfox Games (http://www.skyfoxgames.com/), had the lists. You could try contacting them.

To be fair, I was only playing like 32 land or so.
I posted a report: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?19167-GP-Toronto-Legacy-Side-event-Oct-24-2010-Top-8-with-32Lands-dec&p=497394
Skyfox will NEVER share decklists because they are lazy.
