Looking to form EDH group @ Superstars - San Jose, CA

I'm looking to form EDH group @ Superstars in San Jose, CA. I know there are a lot of people interested in playing and even have decks but no one seems to be at the same place at the same time (or playing the same format).

I'd love to get an EDH scene here! Post on this thread if you're interested!

I only see standard when I go to Superstar, so it would be nice if more people play EDH there.

There are lot of people with EDH decks at Superstars but they either didn't it with them or are drafting/playing standard. Multiplayer games take a while and because of that it's really hard to get a game going.

On the bright side, we seemed to have met the threshold for getting a game going. I have another interested individual on the official EDH forums. Fill out the Doodle for what days you are available and let's make something happen! Make sure to list your generals next to your name!

There is usually plenty of space, even on Friday nights. The couple of tables near the front entrance are almost always open.

Sure thing, Aggro_zombies! I periodically send out Doodles (a kind of meeting planner) to figure what time works best for each of us and I'll be sure to keep you in the loop. I really look forward to our next meeting. The complicated board states and unusual card interactions that arise in EDH rarely happen in other formats and it makes for a very enjoyable game.

Telekinesis - The Claws of Gix and Parallax Tide/Wave synergy is really cool! I hope to see it in action next time we meet! By the way, I accidentally did end up taking four of your goblin tokens. If you happen to have Wort, the Raidmother Tokens or Bitterblossom Tokens, I would love to trade for them!

I just checked Superstars' website and they close at 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Should we choose a different time slot on those days since Telekinesis can't make it on Friday?

They should be open Saturday nights. They have Draft 7pm on Saturdays, I've been to one, and I don't see anything on the site about them closing early. I don't know about Sundays though.

I was just going off of the hours on their website.

Monday to Thursday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Well it also says it's open until a tournament ends, and their schedule says they're still having draft and standard saturday night. So they should still be open saturday until 10. I guess sunday would be closed at 7 though.

I thought I was done making decks but I really want to make a Karador, Ghost Chieftain deck. That's a pretty awesome general. Also, on a side note, let's try to keep the chatter of this thread to a minimum since it is supposed to be for Legacy tournaments. Post any comments on the Doodle. I'm glad we've been allowed to use this thread thus far to get a group together but let's be respectful to the rest of the forum. Remember to fill out that Doodle!

Alright Dennis, after thinking about it, I'm going to try out a bauble package like you suggested. (I just realized how savage executioner's capsule + salvaging station can be.)

Adding salvaging station, executioner's capsule, nihil spellbomb, aether spellbomb, and trinket mage. Probably going to swap tormod's crypt for nihil spellbomb, but I'm not sure about what else to take out...

Also wondering this. Barring any info to the contrary, I will probably just head to Eudemonia for FNM tomorrow with my four EDH decks in tow. I don't know if any of you guys are close to Berkeley, but if so, I'd be up for however many games you want.

Magique - I know it's hard squeezing extra cards in there but Wayfarer's Bauble along with Crypt were the best targets for the Salvaging Station for me. Creatures are always dying anyways and the Wayfarer's Bauble just converted them in to lands. You could replace a random accelerant with it.
