Hey guys, I tested the new Ooze Combo with Triskelion and Devourer today and I just wanted to know if I misunderstood the textes....

So here's my problem:
the tex on devourer says "0: Remove the top card of your library from the game to put a +X/+X counter on Phyrexian Devourer, when X is equal to that card's casting cost"

BUT

the text on Triskelion says "Reamove a +1/+1 counter from Triskelion: Triskelion deals 1 damage to target creature or player"

so my question is: does this only work when I remove cards with 1 casting cost => then it would be a +1/+1 counter???????
if so I got only 20 cards in my deck with 1cc so If I draw one before the combo starts it wouldn't deal 20 damage!!!!!!!!

The Oracle text on Devourer says:

When Phyrexian Devourer's power is 7 or greater, sacrifice it.

Exile the top card of your library: Put X +1/+1 counters on Phyrexian Devourer, where X is the exiled card's converted mana cost. If Phyrexian Devourer's power is 7 or greater, sacrifice it.

I think this question belongs in the rules question forum, but I'll answer this one for you.

Phyrexian Devourer has gotten an errata. Instead of a +X/+X counter, it now gains X +1/+1 counters. Keep in mind that you need to sac the card whenever it's power becomes 7 or higher (it's part of the activated ability as well as a static ability). This is checked on the resolution of the ability, so if you reveal a card with CC=3 or higher, you need to activate the ability again in response or else you need to sacrifice the Ooze.

I posted a more complete explanation about oracle in your reanimator thread.

Edit: Ninja'd....

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding something, you never have to sacrifice the Ooze like you would the Devourer. That's not an activated ability.

EDIT: Nevermind, but that's a weird fucking errata on Oracle.
