Sounds good, Grant.
I know Veterans Gaming Wed Legacy regulars showed tons of interest in attending these also.
RI has seen a resurgence in Legacy lately which is great.
Hoping the return of DHG Thursday weekly legacy will add to that.
Thanks for support. Hope to see people in a few weeks for Eternal Weekend also :)

Coming off a great DHG Sunday Legacy on 12/19 http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?19252-RI-12-19-Sunday-Legacy-At-Die-Hard-Games!-Seas-Volcs-Bayous-Deltas-and-Strands!/page2, I'm eagerly looking forward to this Thursday as we kick off weekly Legacy at DHG. We hope this will become a weekly staple at our store. 4 Seas are being given out in Jan, and hopefully with attendance we'll be able to give away alot more than that ;)
Legacy seems to be in great shape right now coming off recent bannings and the local scene is very good. I know of many different groups that told me they planned on attending this event weekly. These events are some of the best testing available if you're looking to prepare for GP: Providence in May.
Hope to see you this and every Thursday!

Louis Gentile and I split in the finals.
Dave, the event was a blast. To anyone thinking about coming, get your ass down there. The skill level of the players is pretty high, but everyone maintains a friendly attitude, that really makes for a great time. Dave's prizes were once again, more generous that any other T.O. I've ever played with. These are a great way to test for GP Providence, and everyone who plans on going to the GP should be playing at DHG on Thursday night.

Congrats to Taylor (UBG Top?) and Louis (Show and Tell Stifle/Nought) on opting to split $80 credit. We had 10 players. Hoping for more next week. I paid out to top 2 (first was Sea or $60 credit, second was $20 credit) even though I was a little short for second place prize. I usually payout for every additional4 people, but will continue to lean towards to generous side even if I fall short.
I want to make this a weekly staple. Everyone who showed seemed to have a good time. Hopefully get more the rest of the month, but 10 for my first one is OK.
If you love legacy and are in the area, you should come. You will have fun <3

Dave didn't require decklists, but the top 4 was Myself with Ubgw Landstill, Louis, with show and Tell Stiflenought, Adam with UB Confidant Stiflenought, and Nick(?) with Enchantress.
My Deck is actually the same as Lewis Laskin's, which is somewhere on SCG, except I cut a few fetches for more basics, and ran spell snare instead of the wishes

TRUTH!!!!! I think Dave actually lost money on this, but it shows that he's true to his word. Props
Everyone had a great time and I had a sweet chance to test some new ideas. What I was most happy about was the diverse meta;
Match 1: Dreadstill with Bob and dark depths
Match 2: Goblins
Match 3: Enchantress
Top 4 - Match 1: Dreadstill with Swords
Top4 - Match 2: Jason Fords cunning Landstill list .... without cunning wish
PLAY of the DAY; My friend played combo and the enchantress player (nice fella) opened a hand with a leyline of sanctity (he only had one in the deck). I laughed hard, Andrew lost due to surprise.

I didn't lose money on it. Pretty much broke even to be honest. Again, wasn't the exact turnout I was looking for, but it's my first one. I've already been told by many who missed last week's that they'll be there this week and the rest of the month.
We'll see where the first month goes attendance wise. I plan on giving away everything I advertise plus more every week.

Thursdays have quickly turned into my favorite night of the week. Been very surprised at how quickly legacy has spread at the store and I'm looking to improve it weekly. I've decided to give out doorprizes any time the tournament cuts to top 8. For my smaller non-premier events I usually cut to top 8 at 16 players, so I should be able to do doorprizes every week.
I'm hoping to tip the scales at 20 players tomorrow. That would be awesome for just our third week in and I know of many coming tomorrow who have not played weekly legacy here as of yet. I'm lending out some decks myself. I plan on giving away minimum $80-100 store credit, and there's a good chance that will be even more. As always first place has the option of taking a dual (Sea for this month) instead of credit.
I think everyone is having a great time coming to these so far (haven't had any complaints), so if you haven't tried us out yet you should! :p
Thanks again for the tremendous support you guys have shown the store for these weekly legacy's. I'm immensely looking forward tomorrow.

23 Players tonight!!! You guys are awesome.
5 Rounds cut to top 8 and pairings were as follows:
8th seed Grant Garvin at 9 points (Dark Horizons/GBW Rock) Vs 1st seed Gabe Schwartz at 12 points (Storm combo)
2nd Seed Andrew Maag at points (UGBr tempo) Vs. 7th seed Barrett Guild at 10 points (Ichorid)
6th seed Joe Harrington at 10 points (UGR Thresh) vs 3rd seed Shawn Evans at 11 points (Merfolk)
4th seed James Rocheleau at 10 points (Storm Combo) Vs. 5th seed Matt Orfanello at 10 points (Storm Combo)
Top 4: Shawn vs. Barrett
Matt vs. Grant
Finals Shawn/Grant split. Second finals in a row for Shawn!
Payouts were as follows:
1st- $60 credit/U. Sea
2nd $30 credit
3rd/4th $15 credit each
5th-8th $5 credit each
$140 in credit given out tonight :)
Really fantastic turnout. Absolutely thrilled with the crowd that showed and everyone appeared to have a good time. There were roughly 10 new players tonight and about 4 I'd never seen before (and I know everyone :p). Pretty diverse top 8. 3 Combo is alot I suppose but they were totally different builds. Matt's top 4 deck focused on Empty the Warrens as main kill condition.
Shawn's mono U merfolk is noteworthy for it's 4 Merfolk of the Pearl Trident. They must be working since it's his second finals in a row. He did an excellent tourney report for last week that can be seen here: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?19713-1st-with-Merfolk-at-Diehard-Games-RI-1-14-10
He informed me he'd be doing another report covering tonight's finish and a finals appearance he got at another store earlier this week.
He's truly on a roll.
So thanks again to everyone who showed. Thursdays really have turned into my favorite nights and I'm glad I get to spend them running this event.
See you next week,

Hey, no prob! :) I had a blast, despite playing on about two hours worth of sleep. Every single game I played during the evening was a solid one, especially my round three and quarterfinals matchup against Gabe. I got some solid data to continue to work on my build, as well.

The snowpocalypse returns! :p
Apparently snow tonight through the morning. This should not affect tomorrow's tourney in any way, shape or form. I'll give a little leeway for snowy roads, but we will have rd 1 up between 6:15-6:30 so you really want to be there by 6:00.
The turnouts for these have been great and I will continue to offer Blue Duals or store credit for Feb. The same prize format will continue as people seem to really enjoy it. First will always have the option to take a dual land or store credit. Store credit will always scale based on attendance and first will always be minimum $60 (at 8 entrants).
Lately we've been in the territory of top 4 being $130-$140 credit, and hopefully the great turnouts continue so the prizes keep increasing :)
I'm enjoying Legacy a ton right now. I've been playing it a decent amount myself lately. As we inch closer to GP providence my output of events will increase. You guys have been great and I really enjoy running these every Thursday.

The snowpocalypse part 2 apparently affected traveling as we only had 9 people today, but a good time was had.
Gabe Schwartz won an Underground Sea /w Tendrils combo. Adam Tanner was 2nd with UGB tempo, Aaron Greenspan was 3rd with Bant and Louis Gentile 4th with Show and Tell combo.
Thanks again to those who showed. Jan overall was a fantastic start to these events with turnouts being 12, 16, 23 and 9 respectively. The only disappointing one being the 9 players but you can't control mother nature. I believe we'll be back to 16-20 players again next week with weather permitting. Regardless of turnout I will continue to give out blue duals in Feb.

Sorry Louis Gentile
@Andrew- I choose the duals the night of and attendance factors into it, but Tundras will most likely be in the mix along with Volcs and Trops for this month.
The important part is Blue duals will continue to be given out in Feb regardless of attendance. I choose them the night of based on attendance, but the more people who show, the more choice of duals to pick from. That's what I can tell you.
Store credit will always be an option also. There might be a night where I only get 8-10 people so first would choose between something like $60 credit or a Volc... so I expect the store credit to be taken there more often than not. Obviously I can't give away a Tundra for first if 8-9 people show, but for bigger attendance it would probably be an option. So in a nutshell show up and bring friends because that means more prizes and duals to pick from
Looking forward to next Thursday.

Today was sadly only 6 entrants, but I gave out $45 credit.
1st/2nd split $40 credit and were Dana (RUG Tempo thresh) and Joe Harrington (RUG Tempo thresh) for a mirror match finals
I threw in $5 credit to third place since he went 2-1, and that was last week's winner Gabe Schwartz /w Tendrils.
I would really like to get these back to 16-20. I always give out more than I take in for entry fees and at 8 people or more first can always pick a dual.
The few who were here tonight seemed to have a great time. I chalked last week to weather, but the roads were completely fine today so I don't know why it was so small... but it made me sad
Anyway I'll be at templecon this weekend so hopefully see some of you there.

Last night marked the first Thursday night legacy in 2 weeks that did not come immediately after a snowstorm...
and as a result we had 15 players! =D The dual land up for grabs tonight was Tundra.
Top 4 was:
1) Josh Cicio /w 'El Conquistador' (UGBR Counter top control)
2) Nick Wilbur /w El Conquistador
3) Dustin Taylor /w RB Goblins
(these three came in the same car :p)
4) Joe Harrington /w RUG Thresh
They split $120 credit in top 4 and bought Tezzeret, Foil Blightseel Colossus, some fetchlands and other loot with their credit.
We started at 6:30. It looks like for now I'll be doing that since it's winter and trafic/weather conditions are making alot of people be late.
I will say that someone called asking me to start at 7:00 and unfortunately that is not possible. I start these between 6:10-6:30 so people can go home at a reasonable time. Tonight we ended at 10pm. Obviously I did not go home since the store is my home :p
Good turnout, was thankful to everyone who showed and I believe everyone had a great time. I'd like to get these back to 20+
We were one short of 16, which is where I cut to top 8. Also I do doorprizes at 16 or more
I believe, weather permitting, we'll be back to 18-25 players every week. Tonight was very encouraging for that. I also have some very big legacy events planned and when I get the dates pinned down, sourcers will know about them before anyone else.

11 players last Thursday. Slightly lower than usual, but I was closed unexpectedly last wed from family illness and opened an hour late last thursday as a consequence. Not sure if that affected attendance but if it caused an inconvenience for anyone I apologize.
Tourney was off and running as usual a little after 6pm. Top 4 split $90 credit. Shawn Clarke, Gabe Lebel and 2 other people who I forget. Only the best event coverage from DHG :p 5th place once again was Lloyd Anderson ;(
I made slight alterations to the structure of the event, as mentioned in the original post of the thread.
Dual land is now offered to first at 16 players. The overwhelming majority of winners have taken store credit, since I give it out in heaps... but I adjusted the dual land being offered from 8 to 16 just to ensure I don't unexpectedly run out of them. I have some bigger events where I'm giving away tons of duals coming. One of them announced already is our GP:Trial on May 1st http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?20155-Sun-5-1-Pawtucket-RI-Grand-Prix-Providence-Trial-at-Die-Hard-Games!-D, but we have more on the way in the near future.
At 16 or more players first will still have the option of taking a dual land, and there will be varying ones to choose from and that will always be attendance based. So dual offered to first place any time we cut to top 8 =)
I also clarified store credit payout in the first post of this thread for those who aren't familiar with our system. I will always give out over 100% back in store credit. This past Thursday was 11 entrants and I gave out $90 credit. That's roughly 130% prize payout.
Hoping to get back to 16+ players so we can cut to top 8 and the store credit payouts will be well over $100 total. Plus dual will be offered to first at 16 or more. So bring friends ;)
As May approaches I plan on adjusting the structure even more and have some special things in planned the closer we get to GP: Providence. May is a gigantic month for us as we also have our trial on the 1st, our 1k TCQ on the 21st just announced! http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?20268-5-21-ri-1k-legacy-tcq-at-die-hard-games-d

Also, everyone in the store was offered free pizza as my local pizza place royally gave me the shaft earlier in the week, but they made up for it tonight. Can't promise free pizza every week, but you never know ;)
Top 4 after 4 rounds:
1st: 10 points Jared Bollinger /w Affinity
2nd: 9 points Christian Lebel /w Zoo
3rd: 9 points Trenton Bollinger /w Welder MUD
4th: 8 points Lance Morin /w GWB Rock
Thanks to everyone who attended. See you next Thursday.

Well we had 16 players this Thursday and I noticed you weren't one of them :p
I was told you had to work, so I guess it can slide this time ;)
I cut to top 8 at 16 or more players, and I offered a dual since we were at 16 on the button. Volcanic Island was offered to first place if they wanted it over store credit. $120 total store credit was paid out to top 8.
1st: Dustin Taylor (The Pickle) /w RB Goblins- $50 credit
2nd: Corey Lamanna /w Affinity- $30 credit
3rd: Trenton Bollinger /w Welder Mud- $10 credit
4th: Josh Ferrie /w Zoo- $10 credit
Kird Ape: 5th Andy Aggro /w creatures
Me: stop it :p
5th-8th receiving $5 credit each: JR /w Rock (was about to beat Trenton but conceded because he had to go... nice gesture), Sean Clarke /w Team Ameria-thrun (lent my deck to him :p), a Merfolk deck and I believe another affinity deck (Jared Bollinger).
Very agressive top 8. My picture of finals summed that up nicely:
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5102/5601548266_bb720cf8df.jpg
You may ask why Corey has his hands over his face. There are one of two reasons:
1) He knew Dustin was about to cast that 1 of Shattering Spree he boarded in
2) He is light sensitive and I forgot this when I took the picture :p
I had alot of fun as usual. I think everyone else did too. At least I hope so.
I am fully loaded on GP Providence lead-in events with my trial on May 1st, my TCQ 1k on the 21st, and my just announced 4 blue dual event the thursday before the GP http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?20497-Thursday-5-26-RI-10-Legacy-for-4-Blue-Duals-Die-Hard-Games-%29-Free-Pizza!&p=535933

Top 4 split consisting of Luke Bsrdsley (Cephalid Life), Jared Bollinger (Team America), Shawn Clarke (Team America) and Adam Tanner (Bant).
Congrats to them.
Also on the 'oops I screwed up' front, our April 7th weekly legacy did not get processed so that ended up being unsanctioned. I forgot to sanction it and the deadline to get it sanctioned has passed. Top 4 of that event was Trenton, Josh, Corey and Dustin. They will get free entry for the next weekly legacy they play in to make up for my boo-boo. I am usually really good about getting all my events sanctioned and reported. This is the first event in like a year I messed up on sanctioning so sorry for that.
As the GP looms over us I hope the turnouts will be increasing for our weekly Thursday events.

In the mean time I'll still e holding these weekly events for $5 and hope to see you at them as I always payout big store credit and will continue to offer a dual land for first at 16 or more players.
Thank you :-)

Congrats to top 4 on splitting and receiving $25 each. I will probably see a good amount of legacy players on Sunday at SCG Boston. I don't think I'll be playing in the legacy though... a draft open is calling my name

But I saw alot of legacy players I knew in the main event and talked with many of them. The format seems very healthy since it looks like 5 different decks made top 8.
I now have 2 decks fully built (junk and team america) and will be lending them out to people on Thursdays. Hoping for a good turnout this thursday as it leads directly into my GP:prov trial on Sunday which if you've followed any of the threads by me are aware how big it is. It's really big :p

We return to our regular Thursday night legacy starting at 6pm usual. Last week's super thursday night legacy had 36 players and we thank everyone who popped in town for the gp and stopped by our store first. Photo album for that is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59115804@N08/sets/72157626676825237/
I had a good time for the gp. I day 2'd and was 7-1 at one point, but the wheels fell off quickly. I played URG tempo with a whole lot of 2 of's and 3 of's. Not worth posting the list. :x Alot of people I know did well at the gp, so congrats to all of them.
We hope to continue our strong legacy turnouts post gp: providence. As usual we'll give away over 100% back in entry fees as store credit (usually 120-130%), and at 16 or more players we cut to top 8 and offer first the option of choosing a dual land.
Let's see anything else noteworthy...
oh yeah, WE'RE MOVING! :D
107 Higginson Ave (formerly Curves) will be our new home. We'll remain open at our current Main st. location until July 22nd. We're re-opening Aug 5th. New location is great with double the square footage /w 2 bathrooms. Same street as a burger king and just off of Smithfield ave. It's only 2 miles from our current location.
http://mapserver.superpages.com//mapbasedsearch/?spdd=true&spheader=true&spddpoi0=1005+main+st.+pawtucket+ri+02860&spddpoi1=107+Higginson+Ave%2C+Lincoln%2C+RI+02865&spdddistance=Shortest+Time&spddk=Miles&x=0&y=0
That's a map from our old location to our new one. It's literally up the road.
We're planning a grand re-opening week that will involve a very big legacy tourney :x
So obviously stay tuned for more news on that, but for the time being we're going to continue to rock out at our current space that we've occupied for 4 years.
Hopefully see you today for our weekly thursday legacy :)

I appreciate the compliment and thanks for the support.
In the New Hampshire area I know that Myriad Games supports legacy. I don't know to what extent, but they have 2 stores one in Salem and one in Manchester. They are known more for vintage, but they've definitely held Legacy tourneys in the past and the owner of the franchise, Dan Yarrington, is a good man.
Their website is myriadgames.com and he will definitely answer your e-mails.
Hope that helped. As for me, I'm looking to run a ton of big legacy events when I'm settled into my new location. It will be very similar to May where we had 3 gigantic events in one month plus weekly's
Our next big one is August 7th's Sunday legacy that I linked to above. I honestly believe that's worth the lengthy drive if you can make it, but if not no worries because I plan to do more big Legacy events once we officially move

9 players on 6/23 and 7 players on 6/30. Last week saw Aaron Greenspan split with Dave snow. Top 4 both weeks had received about 150% credit.
Although I have alot of legacy planned in the new location, I'd like to finish off the last few weeks at my old store with good turnouts. I will be offering 200% credit payout regardless of attendance. So 8 entries = $80 credit payout. 15 entries= $150 credit
So on and so forth. Every $5 entry I take in, $10 credit gets added to the prize pool
At 16 or more players, I'll still offer a dual for 1st place as well

Also, the new store is awesome. I definitely recommend coming down to check it out if you haven't yet.
Thank you Gabe :D
Congrats on splitting top 2 /w Josh Ferrie. Zoo finals
28 players showed for last week's Super Thursday Night Legacy! Top 8 was paid out 4 mental misstep, foil promo confidant and $100 credit. <3 Thanks for the great turnout.
We return to regular weekly legacy for $5 entry and as always double credit payout this Thursday at 6:30pm.
Our next super Thursday legacy will be on 9/22 with first place receiving 2 DCI promo wastelands
Also our next big weekend legacy will be Sunday September 18th for 4 Seas, 4 Tundras, 4 Plateau and 4 Savannah. That once again will only be $20 entry
Our fall slate of legacy will not be short of events. In the mean time we hope you join us for our weekly legacy this and every Thursday.
Thanks again,
Dave

We returned to normal thursday night legacy with just 6 players
I provided decks to people so we could have an event, and you know things are really desparate when I'm actually playing
But we had a good time. $50 was given out in credit to top 3. I didnt count myself towards the prize pool, but ended up placing second and handed my credit down to 4th/5th/6th place. I don't like playing in my own tourneys, and really dont like winning my own prizes
Results:
1st: Dave Trahan with Reanimator (he thrashed me ) 3-0
2nd: Dave Feinstein with Stoneforge Rock (I built this in 5 minutes so we could have a tourney) 2-1
3rd: Dave Henry /w Seismic Goyf (First time meeting Dave nice guy) 2-1
4th: Paul Rice /w Seismic Goyf 1-2
5th: Alex Cartier /w Burn 1-2
6th: Judge Tim Gagne /w the Team America I lent him (0-3 lolol :p)
We had a good time. I would like more people to show for the regular weekly thursday events. They really are my favorite weekly events to run and I'd like to keep them running strong.
Upcoming big legacy is always just around the corner with my store. 9-18 is our next Sunday Legacy! Still only $20 entry and top 4 will receive 4 Seas/Trops/Plateau/Savannah. $50 credit to 5th-8th. Prizes are subject to increase  More info on that here:
http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?21853-9-18-Lincoln-RI-Sunday-Legacy-at-Die-Hard-Games!-4-Sea-Volc-Plateau-Sav-20!
Then just a few days after that is our Next Super Thursday Legacy on 9/22. Only $10 entry and 1st place will be 2 DCI foil promo wasteland and 2nd a DCI promo Dark Confidant! Prizes will be added based on attendance!
As I type this SCG Boston is ongoing. I won't be making either day but I hope anyone attending has a good time and wish them good luck. Hopefully see you guys at my store again soon.

10 players battled for $100 credit tonight. Top 4 split and was as follows:
1st Matt Orfanello /w Ill Gotten Gains Combo
2nd Luke Bardely /w Cephalid life
3rd Josh Ferrie /w Zoo
4th Richard Crabtree /w Landstill
Good field. Everyone seemed to have fun. If you're itching for more legacy DHG has a $20 super Sunday dual tourney on Sunday Sep 18th. http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?21853-9-18-Lincoln-RI-Sunday-Legacy-at-Die-Hard-Games!-4-Sea-Volc-Plateau-Sav-20!
Also we have another Super Thursday night Legacy upcoming on the Thur 9/22 with 1st place receiving 2 DCI promo wastelands and second receiving a DCI promo Dark Confidant (at 20 or more players).
The Wastes will be given out regardless of attendance :D And as always we'll scale and most likely add a bunch more goodies since Super Thursday legacy draws well.
In the mean time our regular legacy will continue to fire off at 6:30 each and every Thursday and we'll always payout in double credit. Turnouts are starting to climb back up again and we hope you'll join us on Thursdays.
Also worth mentioning is our Innistrad Pre-releases Sept 23-25th. We have 4 main events all costing $20 or less. 9/23 Fri midnight sealed $20, 9/24 Sat 1pm sealed $20 and at 6pm that same Sat we will have a $10 Innistrad booster draft!~!!! There is no cap so we're hoping for a gigantic draft :D Finally on sunday 9/25 we offer a 2HG sealed for $40 (20 per player). $5 store credit for each sealed event you play past the first.
Definitely alot of stuff going on. Hope to see you at our new location soon!

Good turnout last Thursday with 14 players. The Malatesta monster invaded my store going undefeated with elves for like the umpteenth time. There was a split involved with zoo, landstill and team america decks.
Hoping for another solid turnout tonight. At 16 players I cut and payout to top 8
This Sunday is of course our next Bunch of Duals tourney, only $20 and 16 duals guarnteed to top 4 with 4 Seas headlining
Then next Thursday 9/22 is our next Super Thursday Night legacy with 2 dci promo wasteland to first place! and dark confidant to second place at 20 or more players.
Lots of legacy on the horizon for us. Hope to see you soon!

Our Super Thursday Night Legacy only had 12 players :-(
Both promo wastelands were given out as advertised and the winner was Josh Cicio /w UWR stoneforge
2nd place receiving $20 credit was Gabe Lebel
3rd and 4th place receiving $10 credit each were Dustin Taylor /w UWR Stoneforge and Adam Tanner /w Bant
It wasn't the turnout I hoped for, but I still paid out to top 4 and appreciate everyone who showed up.
I am working on a gigantic Legacy in the near future, but I'm in need of 2 more underground seas and can pay $80 cash or $100 credit each for near mint ones. Can pay close to that for slightly played ones. Anyone who thinks they can help me with that should pm me. When I get 2 more seas, I can announce my next big legacy and it's a doozy ;-)
Also have gigantor pre-release weekend today/sat/sunday. $20 sealed and $10 drafts all weekend. More info at mah website or facebook.
Back to normal $5 legacy next week at 6:30pm with the usual 200% credit payout. See you then.
Thanks for the support <3

Last week saw 11 players with finals splitting between Mike Dalton running my Team America list (goodbye mental misstep... hello snapcaster mage! :D) and Richard Crabtree /w High Tide sans candelabras.
We now officially start these at 6:30, as that's when everyone shows up. Literally 10-15 players show up in time for 6:30pm, but never 6:00.... so I'm fine with officially making that the time since that's when alot of people who get out of work can make it for.
Tonight should be alot of fun.
Haven't posted a thread about it anywhere on this site because I don't like to spam non-legacy events, but I will give a shout-out to my homeboy Free Magic Day this Saturday at my store. :p
We're hosting minimaster events all day from 1pm on and giving up to a case of Innistrad away completely free. You show up. I give you a pack. You play in a 16 person flight and can win up to 5 packs per flight. First flight doesn't go well for you? Enter another for free :o
We'll be having t-shirt and fat pack giveaways as well as $10 side drafts once I stop running the free minimaster events (after 4pm).
Great casual event that I encourage you guys to come to. It's my unofficial follow-up to Magic Celebration. Unlike that event, everything given away this time around is completely on my dime and I"m happy to do it.
That's it for now. Thanks for looking <3

You get two, two weekly updates in one post!
http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6106/6265561579_471b824c3d_m.jpg
It's October gimme a break :p
Anyway, on 10/13 we had 11 players with top 4 being:
Mike Dalton (UBG Team America) vs. Nick Malatesta (Elves)
Adam Brennan (storm combo) vs. Dana Renfrew (Burninator!)
Finals was Nick and Adam splitting
Yesterday 10/20 we had 14! players with alot of new faces
Top 4 split $140 credit and consisted of:
1) Jonno Morawski (UGB Team America) 3-0-1
2) Josh Ferrie (Zoo) 3-0-1
3) Adam Brennan 3-1 (Storm Combo
and
4) Me  /w BGW Stoneforge Rock 3-1
I lost round 1 to Adam's storm deck, then won rd 2 versus UW Jace control, round 3 beat UWB control and round 4 UR Delver of Secrets Tempo fish. Delver is actually quite good in a dedicated fish deck and my eyes were opened to that card in Legacy.
I don't mind The Rock, but I don't put it on the same power level as alot of other decks. I was on the green sun's zenith plan, but it didn't do much. The stoneforge package was also meh.
I think Team America is probably the best deck right now, still. I lend it out every week and it wins every week. And it won my last big legacy as well. I run a pretty standard list with 4 snapcaster. He's no mental misstep, but the deck didn't lose much. There seem to be two camps on how to build Team America: with Dark Confidant or without it using Tombstalker. I prefer the former.
Anyway I enjoy legacy alot right now. I don't get to play much, so that was fun. Had tons of new people that were very friendly and I appreciate them coming down. There was a group that drove almost 2 hours to come play tonight and that is just plain awesome.
Our last big legacy of the year is on nov 11th for 16 blue duals plus a bunch of other stuff and more info on that can be seen here: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?22277-Lincoln-RI-11-13-DHG-Sunday-Legacy!-Big-one!-D-16-Blue-Duals-to-top-4!
In the mean time we'll continue to run $5 legacy at 6:30 on Thursdays
Thanks again for the support of my events.

Hello
Last night was night of the living goblins, with 2 showing up and both making finals
$100 credit was given out and top 4 consisted of:
1) Andrew Maag <URW Jace control> vs. 4) Dana Renfrew <Goblins>
and 2) Tim Gagne <Green Sun's Rock> vs. 3) Alex Maag <Goblins>
Dana and Alex both won then split. Payouts were 50/30/10/10. We only had 10 players, but I think everyone had fun. This is the first week in a very long time my Team America deck I lent out did not make top 4, but I believe there's a direct correlation to that and Jonno's decision to not play with Dark Confidant OR Tombstalker
I lent Timmay my Rock deck, which I top 4'd with last week... and he did it again this week. I like the Rock alot right now. No awful matches.
Still, Goblins ruled the day. I was as surprised as anyone else. Curious to see if that holds up.
Thanks and see you next Thursday,
Dave

Wow almost 5,500 views for this thread.
You guys must be reallllly bored
Yesterday's Legacy saw a small field of 9 battle for $90 credit and top 4 split consisting of Jono Morawski once again using my Team America (he chose to play with confidants this week and suddenly prized... what a coincidence ), Adam Tanner with UBW tempo, Adam Brennan with storm combo and Paul Rice playing aggro loam.
5th on tiebreakers and still receiving $10 credit was Tim Gagne with Afffinity
Hope we get a bigger turnout next week leading up to our gigantor legacy tourney on 11/13 http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?22277-Lincoln-RI-11-13-DHG-Sunday-Legacy!-Big-one!-D-16-Blue-Duals-to-top-4!
but I was content with this week's event.

Curious to see what shows up tonight as it should be a good preview of decks showing on Sunday.
Might as well announce it here before almost anywhere else:
We will be doing modern Mondays starting in 2012.
This is January's prize pool:

11 players played it out and top 4 broke down to $50/$30/$15/$15.
Playoffs were:
1) Andrew Maag /w RWU Jace Control 4-0 vs. 4) Lance Morin 2-1-1 /w GW Hatebear
and 2) Jonno Morawski /w RUG Tempo 2-1-1 and 3) Dave Snow 2-11 /w Zoo
Andrew and Jonno both won, then split.
Only 11 players but I think it was 10 diff decks present. That makes Sunday potentially very exciting for deck variety
If you can't make it Sun for our gigantor legacy, see you next thursday hopefully.
Thank you <3
