Elves?!

I can resist abusing elves, I just love doing it. I do not like being a traditional "combo" elves like the list going around here, so I decided to build a deck strictly for fun. Of course I want it to be semi-good so my friends don't walk over it, but fun enough that I want to play it and they can win once in awhile as well. (They have issues with letting me use Blue cards, as they are strictly casual players as where I'm more the competitor) The last time I tinkered with Elves, I had a Wizard/Elf deck that had about 8 different ways to comboing out a win at any moment. Without further adu:

Just to throw it out there: I've already used and tossed Elvish Piper, they're fun and all, but they just didn't fit the bill.

I was thinking about getting another Wargate or two and throwing in a Finest Hour just b/c it would be absolutely hysterical (for me) to swing twice with an Eldrazi in one turn. :D

Well after playing around with it a lot, I've discovered I'm really exposed with relying so much on my Elves. If slowed down enough, I can't combo out fast enough. Anyone know what spells I could use to slow others down that won't water the deck down? Maybe take out Rafiq and 1x Pemmit's Aura for two other spells?
Memnarch won a game by himself because I had a few elves and 2 Islands. Eldrazi, not so much, though a concede comes shortly after they hit the field.
Any suggestions anyone? Maybe an idea for S/B?
