Hi, I stumbled into your article 3 hours ago.

Time Spiral can eliminate the need for MoMs since you are drawing 7 new cards at the same cost if you're playing mono-:u:.

for a discussion of Permanent Waves, here's the thread by Anwar circa 2007-08:

I don't know. I really like MoM in the deck. Once it resolves you are nearly fizzle proof and it allows you to easily Stroke of Genius your opponent out of the game with minimal draw spells played on your part.

I have never played Permanent Waves without it, BUT playing a combination of Candelabra and Cloud of Faeries would be quite interesting. MoM is occassionally win more, but it certainy helps you out of bad situations, especially when drawing excess lands and the whole alternate win route w Stroke.

Have u played builds w and w/out Candelabras and MoM? I played normal Spring Tide for like a day and hated it (this was years ago) but I always like Permanent Waves because I felt it was a much stronger and more consistent combo deck. Do you think playing 3-4 Cloud of Faeries and more Time Spirals over Candelabras and MoM keeps with the consistency?
