Is this Rob Alexander's original Signature? The only ones I've seen thus far are much longer.
Thanks in advance!

1. Looks like it
2. Who'd be crazy enough to forge one? There are numerous signed duals, it doesn't add value to the card.

I would say it isn't. Oo
Normally he writes out his name. Additionaly the l is too vertical. Don't know why anyone would forge it but it doesn't look like Alexander's signature to me.
His signature looks like this : http://www.kardkastle.com/images/products/gradedrevisedcards/17313835.jpg
I could be mistaken though ...

Yes, that's his signature.
Rob has signed more Magic cards than any other artist, by far - for awhile, he was at almost every single GP/PT/etc. It's possible he's signed more cards than all other artists combined. His signatures don't always look the same depending on when he did it, how busy or tired he was, etc.

His sig, for sure. It's not his full, it's his "You've brought 50 cards for me to sign and there's a lineup, Eff you" signature.

lol. That's pretty much what I was thinking. He has signed so many duals that it's going to get to the point where unsigned ones are rarer ;)

That sig on the PSA graded one looks like it goes past the edges of the card. Did he sign the outside of the sleeve?

You can tell by the shadow on the card that he signed the PSA case, yes.

Is it even possible to get a PSA 9 on a signed card? I'd look at psacard.com but the site is taking ages to load for some reason.

Signed cards can be graded PSA 9 and 10. They only take the card condition into account as far as I know, and they usually verify the signature.
I've seen it more and more often that artists are signing PSA/BGS cases so you don't "wreck" the cards inside, or have to open it to get it signed. Unsigned PSA/BGS 9's and 10's are worth the most in the most pristine condition possible, which is unsigned, according to most collectors.

Yes, that's Rob Alexander's signature. I've seen him twice, and seen his signature written two different ways. Both are shown in this therad.

I bet he doesn't play Legacy or Vintage because of all the Seas he's seen in his lifetime. He's a really eccentric guy, and very nice in person.

I find it interesting that's your take. I thought he was quite rude when I met him though I will agree that he is quite excentric.
Also, he has a wicked mullet.
Looks like he's getting sick and tired of signing cards. Soon his signature will just be a horizontal line.

@ Thecrav: Did you meet him at a particulary large event? Because I would be pissed if there were hundreds waiting in my line with a bunch of cards to get signed. When I met him personally I thought he was a nice guy.
That's his lazy signature like others have said. It's him saying "I have signed 700 cards today, this one is going to be easier."

I've met him in person, he's a really nice guy. He signed my dual land binders. He reached into the pockets and wanted to pull them out to sign them, but I told him to just sign my binder, and to stop signing Dual lands themselves, claiming it was hard to find unsigned duals  He laughed a bit and flipped through my binder

Maybe he just hadn't had his coffee yet? :) I've met him and had him sign cards at multiple events, he has never been less than a perfect gentleman, including doing a sketch in one of his art books I bought for my daughter...and this was well toward the end of along day.
