The Comic Depot is located in the Wilton Mall, exit 15 off the Northway (I-87), right next to Ruby Tuesdays.
I know some people have issues playing in a mall, but the way the store is designed the play area is back far enough that it lacks the "fishbowl" feeling a lot of mall card shops have. Darren (the owner) is really into supporting the Legacy and Standard communities in this area and hopes that this catches on so he can hold tournaments such as this in the future. The store, from personal experience, I think can probably comfortably sit 50-60 people.
If you're in the area, I highly encourage you to come in and play. I know it's not a whole lot of notice, but I hope to see a good number of the local crew and maybe some newer folks to the store. Any questions shoot me a PM and I can relay them to Darren and try to get answers for you as soon as possible.
Thanks.

Less than two weeks away! I will most certainly be there and hope to see others there as well to hopefully make this a monthly occurrence.

Less than 2 weeks, Indeed.
I'm very much hoping to see all of our local players and maybe pull a few from some of the surrounding areas that might not normally come out to the Depot.
As far as monthly, I know Darren is running a series of larger tournaments on a monthly basis, however they will be alternating between Legacy and Standard.

I'm home and I have no other plans.
I'll be there
38 in Attendance, ended up cutting out after top 8 was announced.
I ended at 4-2 in 12th with Merfolk. Early round bad beats are bad.

Was a very good time, all the new faces was really nice. I finished 3rd with Sneak Show, Dan Jordan and Dan Sacco were left with Countertop and Enchantress respectively. Thanks for a great time everybody.

Who was the winner?
judging by a 2nd place tournament in the Enchantress Thread, CB.

This is correct, Dan Jordan won playing I believe GerryT CB.
Edit: also if there is interest I'll see what I can do about getting the top 8 lists from the store owner to post them on here, or see if he'll be willing to do it.

Dan's list was Weinburg's from his recent SCG Open win in Indy.
Also, the tournament was run pretty well and had a good turnout for the first of its type in the area. I'm looking forward to more events like this in the future, and I'd recommend others show up as well.

Dan ended up winning this? Sweet. [Edited for late-night information processing resulting in unwarranted excitement]
Also, I'll PM you the decklist soon. I did e-mail Darren with links to the top 8 threads as well, so he might post the results. I'm curious what my actual standing was after the loss in top 8 to Shaun. I didn't check before I left.

Dan ended up winning this? I wonder if he'd trade/sell me that Moat to complete my set. I need to converse with him about this.

Dan Jordan didn't end up with the Moat. Dan Sacco with Enchantress in 2nd got it. Also I was 1st after the swiss, so I'm pretty sure you were 8th : /

I'll try to make it to the next one & bring some people from Syracuse. Too many big events in a short span of time right now, but it sounds worthwhile for just a day trip. We would definitely come for either standard or legacy by the way, I did notice mention of standard events too on the web site.

That would be awesome.. So far they're planning on alternating between Legacy and Standard, right now the next one is being planned for in march as a Standard event.. First place is 4x Jace TMS, 2nd looking like it might be a box of worldwake, but they haven't nailed the prizes down quite yet. The first place slot is guranteed though.
@Reverend: You were 8th after the swiss, Frank. DJ did win, but he didn't take the moat he took the seas. The enchantress player took the Moat.

Durp. Of course, I don't even know why I thought he would have taken the moat. I guess in my eyes winning the Moat was winning. 8th is cool with me, I just had no idea what the standings were.
So yeah, if anyone has an English Moat come see me at my shop.
