I apologize in advance if this is a silly question with an easy find.
I'm not entirely sure about this. I have read that two legendary creatures cannot share a name, which makes sense, but I have also read that they cannot share a type (is this referring to the old rule of "legend," or does it simply mean no two common type between two legendary creatures, i.e. no two legendary angels?)
Just trying to clear this up with myself before going ahead with a deck idea.
"704.5k. If two or more legendary permanents with the same name are on the battlefield, all are put into their owners' graveyards. This is called the "legend rule." If only one of those permanents is legendary, this rule doesn't apply."
Pulled from the comprehensive. Some of the websites in the post linking me to it were down or out of service and I was redirected to the updated website; I am guessing the post has not been updated in a while, so I am not sure if this rule is still in effect or has been updated.
