Praetor's Counsel
Sorcery - 5GGG ~ CMC:8
"Return all cards from your graveyard to your hand. Exile Praetor's Counsel. You have no maximum hand size for the rest of the game."

When I first saw this card, my initial thought was a green Yawgmoth's Will. Wouldn't it be possible to make a storm deck out of this one or at least include it as a one-of in some sort of Helm-Line deck? If you can generate ten mana (two for infernal + eight for this) and have used Lotus Petal, LED plus som rituals, this gives a secure win against people packing FoW compared to IGG.
Thoughts?

Too expensive and color restrictive for any kind of storm deck, I'd wager. IGG has utility outside of just generating storm, and this card requires too much to go right for it to be great.
But it does seem absolutely insane in EDH.

Ten mana + infernal means that you can usually just win chaining tutors and tendrills. At six mana it could have been playable, but eight (and three of them are green) is just too much.

Now if they are ever dumb enough to give Mind's Desire back to Legacy. That would be one hilarious deck.

The ceiling for Infernal Tutor or Burning Wish targets is 6 mana, and Burning Wish into "Yawgmoth's Will" is probably less consistent than Burning Wish into Diminishing Returns given "Yawgmoth's Will" requires a second threat to end the game. It just doesn't do anything TES wants, it's not better than Ad Nauseam and it's not more consistent than Diminishing Returns for the additional mana investment.
You want/need a "Mind's Desire" for the SB at 6 mana, anything that generates enough Storm while finding another tutor that doesn't recur counters or give the opponent a new hand fits the bill. Sorcery, Discard all cards and then draw cards equal to the number of cards in your graveyard for 3UUU etc. would be pretty on par.

The best use for this card is as a Sins of the Past target after Gifts Ungiven. Unfortunately, this requires your opponent to not just give you Praetor's Cousel and for them to give you Sins of the Past.

Would a Gifts Pile: Recoup, Regrowth, Sins of the Past, Praetor's Counsel work?

Would a Gifts Pile: Recoup, Regrowth, Sins of the Past, Praetor's Counsel work?
Plausibly. Of course, with that much mana, you could just go for Ill-Gotten Gains piles.
FWIW Knowledge Pool,Hellcarver Demon and Brilliant Ultimatum suggest they're looking for a Mind's Desire Replacement.

With Dream Halls it could be testable (at best); you'd be able to chain into spells you've discarded and replenish at least one card off the discard to satisfy its cost.
