In Legacy Reanimator, the list should be -1 Sphinx or -1 Grave Titan. That deck seems not so viable due to the popularity of Goblins, and decks with Swords. Shame, its fun to play.

For Vintage, in the last list, MUD aggro, swap Staff for Jar. Jar is insane. In the MUD Staff list, swap the 4th Staff for a Jar. Jar is insane.

Turn 3: Draw Verdant Catacombs, fetch Forest, play Elvish Visionary, draw Llanowar Elves, play Llanowar Elves, play Wirewood Symbiote, tap Archdruid adding GGGG, play Summoner's Pact for Quirion Ranger, play Quirion Ranger (GGG), untap Elvish Archdruid, tap for GGGGG, return Quirion Ranger to hand using Wirewood Symbiote, play Quirion Ranger (GGGGGGG), return forest to hand, tap Elvish Archdruid (GGGGGGGGGGGG), play Genesis Wave for nine.

Assuming that Wave misses Emrakul (which would let you win on the spot),


Is that italicized line referring to the turn 3 play? You would need 15 mana for Wave to play Emrakul, no?

Would you say that the advent of Elves wouldn't be the way it is now without the banning of Survival? I'm slowly understanding why Survival might have been the right card to ban (for the sake of long-term design diversity). I really am excited to see new Elves lists, admittedly more than I am to see (yet) another Survival updated list even before Vengevine was printed. I can't wait to see lists posted using Green Sun's Zenith.

Its all about what other decks are playing, right? I'm not trying to say Genesis Elves is the wave of the future (heh, get it?), but its still neat to talk about Elves and look at the different versions people are testing, as some are clearly having success both on MTGO and IRL. If you're a fan of format diversity, or Keebler cookies, this is fun to watch.

GSZ hadn't been spoiled when I submitted this article, or I would have discussed it. It definitely seems powerful.
