Sunny Side Up

History of Sunny Side Up:
Sunny Side Up was a deck brought to the fray in Extended during Worlds 2006 by the [then current]French National champion, Sylvain Lauriol, and other prominent French magic players like Antoine Ruel, Guilliame Wafo-Tapa and Pierre Canali. This is my attempt to port it into Legacy.

How does Sunny Side Up work?
Sunny Side Up is a combo deck which uses the eggs from Odyssey to draw plenty of cards and their interaction with Second Sunrise to kill an opponent by either:

Establishing a Pyrite Spellbomb loop
Decking them with a Cephalid Coliseum loop.
Decking them with a lethal Brain Freeze.

The rest of the deck is built to establish the beginnings of the combo. Cards like Reshape help get you the crucial LEDs to give you a huge mana boost per Sunrise, and the interaction between LED and Infernal Tutor let you get Second Sunrise at will, especially when you get to a Conjurer's Bauble. The deck uses a large amount of artifacts, and is primarily graveyard based.

How do I play Sunny Side Up?
Sunny Side Up is a complex deck, and you will make plenty of mistakes with it when you first try it. The first 2-3 turns consist of playing your 'eggs' and passing[Don't play your 0 cost artifacts until the turn you go off]. Turn 4 you can generally start going off but only if you have either a Reshape, or a Second Sunrise. You can also go off with an LED and Infernal Tutor. You start off by saccing some of your lands to get colorless mana. You then use your eggs to filter them and draw around 2-4 cards. Then use the cards you have access to, to get a Second Sunrise and either:

Cast the Second Sunrise for more cards to get to a Reshape or
Cast Reshape for a Lion's Eye Diamond for an essencially guaranteed combo.

From here onwards, if there was no distruption, it should be cruise control.

Manipulating the Stack
Example of LED and Second Sunrise interactions:
You cast Second Sunrise. Second Sunrise is on the stack.
Sac LED in response. Get back LED along with the other sacrificed eggs. Continue to combo off.

Example of LED and Infernal Tutor interactions:
You cast Infernal Tutor. Infernal Tutor is on the stack.
Sac LED in response. Get :w::w::w: with LED. Infernal Tutor resolves. Get Second Sunrise.
Cast Second Sunrise. Get back LED along with other sacrificed eggs. Continue to combo off.

You should consider Helm of Awakening. With it, you can cycle "eggs" without wasting mana and eventualy draw your second sunrise or an infernal tutor.

Reshape seems inferior to Transmute Artifact especially given TA's rewording.

Also, the inevitable must be asked: why play this over traditional combo decks? What advantages does it have?

I don't see many advantages to running this as opposed to ANT or TES. It's probably weaker then both of them, admittedly. I just loved the deck from Extended and wanted to port it to Legacy. Being a artifact heavy deck does make it a lot more susceptible to hate like Null Rod and Hurkyl's. In addition, the only way to protect it is the Wishes -> Silence/Chant or the one Chant main. It also dies to 2+ Duress-like effects, and fizzles a lot more then ANT/TES.

In summary, if you want something incredibly more powerful, i'd suggest ANT/TES. This was more of a fun project for me [I play Pox as my main]

I played a similar deck.

Some cards to suggest:

Crop Rotation: Your lands return with each Sunrise loop
Wold Cantor: More Mana
Tinder Wall: More Mana
Barbarian Ring,Nomad Stadium: alternate kill. Nomad Stadium saved my ass sometimes against Mogg Fanatic.

I would play more Conjurers Baubles. And Reclaim
