What is the Bales Bomberman?
The Bales Bomberman is a combo deck which revolves around Auriok Salvagers and Lion's Eye Diamond to generate a huge amount of mana which you can then use to close out the game. The deck generally uses the Auriok Salvagers/LED loop to enable a kill by Pyrite Spellbomb. But if Plan A fails[or if you have the ability to set up Plan B], the deck reverts to Plan B, which is decking by using the Painter/Stone combo.

Match-ups:
Testing from Cyrus:

Goblins: Incredibly favourable, somewhere between 75-80% match up.

Merfolk: Pretty even, gets better after sideboard, but probably 50-50 on the whole.

ANT: Favourable, not massively favourable, but the MD disruption is very solid, probably 60-40 or slightly more.

NO BANT: Favourable, but not massively favourable, in the 55-60% favourable.

New Horizions: Slightly favourable, 55-45.

Countertop: Unfavourable, about 40-60.

Zoo: Pretty favourable, about 65-35.

Landstill: Unfavourable, about 40-60

Ichorid: Favourable, about 60-40 thanks to MD GY hate.

Hello, Cyrus here, I can give you some info on match ups:

Goblins: Incredibly favourable, somewhere between 75-80% match up.

Basically it's as you'd expect, you beat aggro decks, and lose to control decks, however you tend to win combo mirrors. These are just rough numbers though.

Is it just me, or are the Salvagers missing from the decklist completely? I love Articifer's Intuition, been working on something using it as well, but I had forgotten about the old Salvagers combo!

That was a mispost on my end. There are 4 Salvagers main here. I've taken the liberty of splitting the Chrome Mox into 1 Chrome/1 Diamond. Feels better right now.

In the 143 [and counting!] goldfishes with the deck, you generally go off T3, and with some form of protection too. I've also taken the liberty of adding one of the IoK's main, and putting an extra capsule in the side, removing the Nihil Spellbomb from the Mainboard [No Ichorid where I play afaik]

I've been considering running more tutors, however, no other tutors are reliable for getting the Salvagers. I think the main problem is that we cannot get Salvagers consistently enough without Infernal Tutor. If we can fix that, the deck could be a lot better. In addition, how do we deal with Null Rod?

-1 Pyrite spellboom +1 sunburst spellboom.

So if they extirpate you pyrite you also can gain infinite life.

And you also draw entire deck and win via painter.

I've been playing a deck with Artificers intuition but it was very different.
