After seeing Suppression Field, I thought the card was very powerful and it drew my attention. I have always had a Deadguy Ale-ish deck that focused on LD and I believe Field is the card that might push it over the edge. Here are the core cards: Suppression Field of course, Wasteland, Vindicate, Sinkhole, and, to a certain extent, Hymn to Tourach. What do these cards all have in common? They are all land denial cards that are either very powerful or have multiple purposes. Part of playing around Suppression Field is to avoid fetchlands, fortunately B/W duals fit quite well into a predominantly black deck. Going from there I decided to add a few legacy staples and ended up with a very land disruptive Deadguy Ale list:

Creatures (12)
4 Dark Confidant
4 Gatekeeper of Malakir
4 Abyssal Persecutor

Spells (28)
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Dark Ritual
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Sinkhole
4 Vindicate

4 Suppression Field

Lands (20)
4 Scrubland
4 Tainted Field
4 Godless Shrine
8 Swamp

I use IoK because I don't want to incur additional life loss and because the LD strategy is so prominent that anything above 3CC shouldn't see much play. The decklist looks a lot like Deadguy Ale yet it plays much differently and doesn't rely on an abundance of small and disruptive creatures alongside an equipment toolbox.

Arbiter version:

Creatures (18)
2 Mother of Runes
4 Leonin Arbiter
4 Dark Confidant
4 Gatekeeper of Malakir
4 Abyssal Persecutor

Spells (18)
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Sinkhole
4 Hymn to Tourach
2 Gerrard's Verdict
4 Vindicate

Artifacts (2)
2 Umezawa's Jitte

Lands (22)
4 Wasteland
4 Scrubland
4 Godless Shrine
4 Tainted Field
6 Swamp

If you're really trying to hit lands, consider Gerard's Verdict over Inquisition. It is nearly 5-8 hymn.

TBH, Stifle is one of the best land disruption cards available, so you may want to consider splashing blue for it.

Suppresion Field + Wasteland is a total nonbo, why suppression field in main deck? For fetches? Leonin arbiter does that and has a body, and you get to keep your wastes. I'd say ghostly prison or sphere of resistance is a better pick even

Gerard's Verdict: people tend to stray from discarding lands when you cast it + your opponent chooses what he wants to discard and you don't get to see their hand. I much preffer the 1CC disruption.

Stifle: Great card but I won't splash a 3rd color for it.

Suppression Field:

- Slows down fetches long enough for you to mana screw your opponent
- Screws Top
- Screws Aether Vial
- Screws Jitte
- Messes with cycling/unearth/transmute
- Messes with Plainswalkers
- Messes with manlands
- Messes with annoying creatures such as Grim Lavamancer, Mother of Runes, KotR and more...

Aether Vial is very popular in the format and defeats the purpose of LD. Top is present in almost every deck. Enchantments are much harder to remove than 2/2 creatures, especially when your are being mana denied. Althought I must admit I did not think about Wastelands being taxed by SF.

Leonin Arbiter:

-Slows down fetches long enough for you to mana screw your opponent
-Enables Wastelands
-Enables Jitte
-Messes with Stoneforge Mystic, Natural Order, and soon to be extremely popular, Green Sun's Zenith
-Has a body

Although he is easier to remove than SF, the 2/2 body is useful and enabling Wastelands is enough for me to reconsider.

Maybe -4 SF, -4 Dark Ritual, -4 IoK for +4 Leonin Arbiter, +2 Jitte, +2 Godless Shrine, +2 Mother of Runes, +2 Gerrard's Verdict
