Oh NOOO! It's a Ghost, it's a Bird, it's a... Steppe Lynx!

Alright so I've been messing around with my Diligent Farmhand deck and it has been doing surprisingly well against established decks. So I thought maybe it's time to give Steppe Lynx a chance in a tournament viable deck. Here is what I'm thinking.

Ghost Quarter seems strictly worse than Wasteland but I can assure you the synergy is great as it can easily act as fetches 7-10.

I'm not really sold on Aether Vial or the SFM package. Since I am running Karakas I feel like Mangara of Corondor may just be better synergy with the Aven Mindcensor. A possible switch would be -2 SFM -2 Jitte for +2 Mangara +1 Pridemage +1 Mindcensor.

Play Flagstones of Trokair so you can go:
T1, flagstones, lynx
T2 ghost quarter flagstones, swing for six.

That sounds sick! How many would you suggest running/what would you cut? My mana feels a little crowded I think Maze needs to come out for that definitely and maybe bump land from 23 to 24, your thoughts?

Also do you think Crucible of Worlds should find its way in here or no?

Not to mention, putting a Flagstone into play when you already have one in play gives Lynx +6/+6, too. I'd say Flagstones should be a definite 4-of in here.

I just edited the list to include Flagstones definitely awesome in here.

Something to discuss though, how about running Weathered Wayfarer? Or is that too much? It seems if he were included in the list, the deck would be less Aggro and become more tempo.

If your goal really is to play steppe lynx competitively just play sligh / zoo imo...

Otherwise replace the lynx by 3 weathered wayfarers, grunts / mindcensors by vials, put in some wastelands and you've got a pretty standard maverick g/w list so it's probably a good deck for now...

I wouldn't run wayfarers along lynx's, but maybe replace what I said with the vials and make the equipment package 6 slots (3 mystics 1 jitte, sofi, solas) would be a way to change the current list if you're not currently satisfied with it.

Dang I didn't realize how insanely similar the two lists are. I think I wanna keep the ghost quarter aven mindcensor synergy so I'll say wayfarer is out. What about the possibility of cutting the mystic package and replacing it with Mangara + more Avens?

Or possibly cutting the Avens altogether and replacing them with Crucible of Worlds and upgrading to Wasteland?

I'd consider Crop Rotation and Exploration as well, they have some pretty sick plays with lynx, fetches and flagstones.
Maze of Ith has nice occasional synergy with, Knight of the reliquary.
Don't know what to cut though.

Is that in reference to jhhdk's comment or the deck in general?

If in reference to the deck I disagree, the way I see this list is as a faster GW Tempo.
