Matt Nass has written about the deck he took to the Top 16 of San Jose SCG.

Interested in hearing others thoughts...
What a surprise, Matt Nass writing another Elves article...
It's nice that there's an updated list that cuts out Brainstorm, but aside from that, more of the same from Nass.

At least it's an article on a deck he has some credibility with. I'd much rather read this article than an article on a deck he barely tested, like that TES deck with the Invasion sac lands. I've read my fair share of articles by authors reinventing the wheel on an already proven deck. *cough* Chrome Mox in Goblins deck *cough*

This time, I had a sweet brew from Wrapter. Wrapter absolutely dominated the Team portion of the World Championships with an interesting Survival Vengevine Elf deck. He decided to port the deck to Legacy by playing Intuition instead of Survival. ... Here is the list Wrapter suggested:
To add insult to injury, the list played Brainstorm, which is another difficult card to play with. The deck took so much brain power that even I, who have played Elves more than just about anyone, was forgetting Nettle Sentinel triggers and making other mistakes that I don’t normally make while playing Elves. If you want to play this deck, test A LOT.
Seems to me like he didn't test it much, and further corroborated by Hatch who I spoke to before the tournament, also playing this deck. In fact, in the article he mentions how complex it was for him to play this deck, even being an Elf-master. I'm not criticizing Nass on playing the deck, but rather that he wrote another Elf article with not much insight into playing the deck. There is no tournament report aside from the one time he made a mistake. This feels like he's just filling up words to get published, rather than having something tangible to present.

Regardless, he knows more about Elves than Storm. Point still stands. I was just comparing this article to his Storm article. I don't know much about Legacy Elves so I can't comment about how good his Elves article was. But I still learned a thing or two so I'm not complaining.
This whole "Yeah folks, so a mate of mine handed me a deck, he said it's awesome in this strange Legacy format and I played it a bit and it's awesome, check it out lols" that I frequently read in the articles of players who spend a bare minimum of time in order to prepare for Legacy events annoys me.
It's been some time that I read an article written by Matt Nass that didn't disappoint me.

As an Elf player I agree with a lot of the sentiments he puts up actually (recognizing Symbiote as the best creature in the deck, the comparatively low focus on Glimpse, the importance of alternate plans etc).
