WHAT: Sanctioned Legacy Tournament, $20 Entry, Swiss + Cut to Top 8


WHEN: The store opens at 10:30 AM, Registration starts at 11:30 AM. The Tournament will begin at 12:00 Noon sharp.


WHERE: The Soldiery, 4256 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214


PRIZE STRUCTURE: Cash payout. 80% of entry will be put into the prize pool.

1st Place: 40% of Prize Pool
2nd Place: 20% of Prize Pool
3rd Place: 10% of Prize Pool
4th Place: 10% of Prize Pool
5th-8th: 5% of prize pool each

A special note: There is a minimum $200 guaranteed payout, no matter the attendance!


Also,

Attendance/participant pending, there will be ONE FREE $80 CASH Prize side event. If you drop from the main event, you will AUTOMATICALLY ENROLL in a FREE side event, which will be single elimination. This will start at the beginning of round five. So do not leave! [Please note that this prize is taken from the main prize pool If you do NOT want to play in the side event, you must let the TO know!

Didn't the tournament used to start earlier?
Also is there ever going to be a chance of getting rid of the "free" side event that drains money from the main prize pool. I have no problem if they run a seperate side event such as 8 player win a boxs/cash tournies. I just remember that last time I was there it slowed down the main event while they tried to fill the side event and it made the main prize much smaller. Also I think it should be called a 2nd chance side event not a free side event because thats what it really is.

I think we've always started around that time (it used to be like 12:30 or later, I think), not sure at the moment.

We actually had a player meeting at the last event and decided to cancel the side event in favor of more cash. That's definitely possible, I'd ask Stephen about taking it out, in my opinion it would just be more profitable to have 8 man pods, etc. I'm sure we've talked about it in person, though, I agree with your thoughts.
