Sensei's Divining Top
Sylvan Library
Mirri's Guile

All three cards provide a great deal of card selection and allow you to abuse fetchlands.

Top is clearly the better option in deck's making use of Enlightened/Personal Tutors and in decks playing Counterbalance. It's also the better option in control decks since since it can protect itself from removal and tends to stick around longer (sans Krosan Grip). However, Top uses up a lot of mana.

Am I right in guessing that in aggressive decks that play green and don't have access to much spare mana, Sylvan Library seems to be the better option. Most Zoo builds have embraced Sylvan Library over Top I'm guessing because Sylvan Library requires a smaller investment of mana. Is there a general consensus that Library is the better card in such a deck?

Here is my specific decklist in question (it's not Zoo but it's generally as fast as Zoo and needs every spare mana it can muster on the critical turn that it combos off)...

4 Innocent Blood
4 Cabal Therapy
4 Thoughtseize
2 Duress

4 Dark Ritual
3 Sensei's Divining Top - This is the slot for which Sylvan Library is being considered.
2 Maelstrom Pulse
2 Pernicious Deed
1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

3 Gamekeeper
4 Green Sun's Zenith
4 Living Wish

4 Ancient Tomb
4 Bayou
4 Verdant Catacombs
4 Polluted Delta
2 Windswept Heath
1 Crystal Vein
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
1 Phyrexian Tower
1 Forest
1 Swamp

Sideboard:
3 Tsunami
2 Perish
2 Infest
1 Gamekeeper
1 Kjeldoran Dead
1 Fleshbag Marauder
1 Sylvok Replica
1 Karakas
1 Phyrexian Tower
1 Bojuka Bog
1 Progenitus

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on whether 3 Top or 3 Sylvan Library makes more sense in a deck like this.

Library can put the most cards in your hand. Sometimes the Path and Bolt sitting below your topdeck are what you need to win, and you won't get that from Top.

..Unless you activate Top after your draw and tap it out of course. Looking at your deck I'd say keep Top since a) you run Deed and B) since paying 4 life + fetches means that you aren't likely to get much use of the second ability against aggressive decks, and in any case you run what is effectively a 2 card combo so the extra cards aren't that much of a deal except v. control. Of course, this all depends on the expected metagame, but for an open field Top should be the natural choice.

Thank you guys.

The lifeloss from fetchlands and Ancient Tombs was eased somewhat by the recent inclusion of the one of Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in place of my second Crystal Vein, but the lifeloss is definately still a problem. Top does sometimes slow down my combo by a turn. The turn I combo off, I need every spare mana I can get.

You see, that deck is slower than zoo. I would have told you to take top had you not edited your post earlier. Anyway, Guile is only really good because it kind of acts as a Top that is an enchantment for Enchantress, and I've never seen it played anywhere else.
