If I am correct Infect on Inkmoth Nexus is an ability just as flying is an ability, so under Humility, Inkmoth will just be a 1/1, no flying no infect correct?

After we talked I browsed the old humility Q and A threads such a:
http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?3649-How-Humility-Works
but actually it still be nice to have this clarified to be honest. My impression still is that if humility is in play and you animate inkmoth it should lose all abilities it had prior to activation (Tap for Colorless/ Pay 1 colorless to make inkmoth a creature) because its now a creature but should get the abilities the animation ability says should be granted to it. That impressions is based on the fact that nantuko monastary still has firststrike and its P/T if it gets activated after humility is in play.
If you activate Inkmoth Nexus while Humility is on the battlefield, it will be a 1/1 Artifact Creature Land - Blinkmoth with flying and infect (and no other abilities). This is because both Humility and Inkmoth's ability-giving effect are in layer 6, and they are applied in timestamp order: first Humility removes the mana ability and the activation ability, then Inkmoth's ability gives it flying and infect.

In that case why can't Mishra Factories pump themselves under Humility?
Because Humility takes away the pumping ability. It's the same reason why Inkmoth Nexus (or Mishra's Factory) can't be tapped for mana when activated under Humility.
Specifically, the "pumping" ability existed already and is not part of the animation effect - so it will not have a newer timestamp.

That makes sense, thanks for clarifying this. This greatly improves my opinion of Inkmoth Nexus in control lists (when paired up with Humility/Moat).
