I just cannot find what I'm looking for about this card anywhere, which is why I ended up here asking, so I apologize in advance if there is an easy-find.

The turn it comes out, would that two mana at the beginning of pre-combat phase take effect? Or would I have to wait the turn after I play it?

Since the trigger event is the start of the main phase and you are already in that phase when you cast the Magus, you must wait a turn.
