{Card Replacement} Any good replacement for moat in a countertop thopter deck?

I have been playing with countertop thopter recently (been testing tezzeret in it) and as i use to play dreadstill i didn't need a moat. I do plan on buying one soon as it really is just that good but there is a tournament coming up this Sunday and as i am cheap like more legacy players i usually buy most expensive cards off of ebay or my local store.

So wondering if there is a good replacement for moat? My list is vary similar to the one posted by Adam Barnello. I just run 3 dark confidants instead of his Ensnaring Bridge, 1 counterbalance, and the EE is in the sideboard. And the mana base is sceud a bit more to black. But i may change more to his list as it is more likely better.

If there isn't a true replacement then what would be anther type of card to run? The metagame is mostly merfolk, goblins, and other agro decks. Only 1 person plays TES and we have 1 enchantress player.

I run Humility in my CounterTop Thopters. Ensnaring Bridge is good too.

Problem with humility is it messes with tezzerets -1. But I guess that may be the trade off I have to make.

IIRC, Tezz's -1 will make your artifacts 5/5 under Humility due to timestamp (i.e. they use the same layer but you apply it after Humility, works the same way as manlands).

Oh didn't know that Tezzeret ability would work as the same as manlands. Okay I'll use humilty instead for this weekend, thank you guys.

IIRC, Tezz's -1 will make your artifacts 5/5 under Humility due to timestamp (i.e. they use the same layer but you apply it after Humility, works the same way as manlands).

Long story short: whichever one of these two effects was created last will take effect.

If Humility is in play, and Tezz's -1 turns an artifact into a creature, it will be a 5/5.

If Tezz's -1 turns an artifact into a creature, and then later Humility enters the battlefield, that creature will be a 1/1.
