Mimic Vat

Just want to get this clear:

1 - Mimic Vat is in play. I kill a Mutavault, and imprint it. When I activate his ability, what do I get?

2 - Same situation, but I kill a Gideon Jura.

As always, when you make a copy of a permanent, the copy is as printed.

so if i say doomblade a gideon when hes a creature and exile him with vat, when i activate vat i get a planeswalker gideon not a creature gideon?
