The spark that make my brain start to move was a Thread on a wizard deck, the deck was trying to adapt a meta-deck of vintage for legacy, it wasn't really good but it make me go and search for some decent wizards around the internet, and i found Azorius Guildmage, Dimir Guildmage , Izzet Guildmage.
If you're wondering how can this card be any good, I'll answer you Training ground, with this little enchantment in game you can do many really good things.
Then I start to make a list with this core:
4 Izzet Guildmage
2 Vendilion Clique
2 Wee Dragonauts
2 Gelectrode
4 Training Ground
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Preordain
3-4 Stifle
4 Spell Pierce
2 Basilisk Collar
// Izzret Guildmage is our hero that let us multicasting, Wee Dragonaut sometimes become really huge when you start to multicast things with izzret guildmage, gelectrode will reset the enemy board like crazy when you equip it with the collar and Vendilion Clique is just too good to cut it out.
Training Ground let us spam things with izzret guildmage, lightning bolt...well do I need to explain why put this in a deck that want to multiply spell? I preferred Preordain at brainstorm because when you multicast, brainstorm don't let you go through the deck, while Preordain let me put useless card on the bottom of the deck digging into it in search of more usefull card, Stifle is there because after some test I've decided to use the tactic of mana denial of threshold deck(wasteland+stifle), and in the end I choose spell pierce as counter, but if someone have any better advice I'd like to hear it; I cut FoW for the only reason that it's a 5cc and i cannot copy it, maybe I'm wrong but...I'll test some more.
Now there's the question about the splash, I tried to add white for Azorius Guildmage and Swords to Plowshares to have a little more control of the board and i have to say that Azorius Guildmage is really great, it will tap dangerous creature or just tap the defender, and he can even tap opponent creature and attack himself cause it don't need to be tapped to activate his skill, the blu one is an infinite stifle then i really love it, sword take care of the Big Bad Guy (Izzet Guildmage + Swords to Plowshares for multiple removal, yes please).
I've test even with black instead of white for Dimir Guildmage, Dark Confidant, Duress, Extirpate and I have to say that often a multiple extirpate after a multiple duress is something great, but against aggro deck it really need some more removal and i can't find the place for them, and the Dimir Guildmage, for how wonderful is it's effect it will suffer much more from the absence or the destruction of training ground, and nowadays there are a lots of enchant removal in this format, then i really prefer white over black for more board control.
Then my actual list is something like
4 Izzet Guildmage
4 Azorius Guildmage
2 Vendilion Clique
2 Wee Dragonauts
2 Gelectrode
4 Training Ground
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Preordain
3 Stifle
4 Spell Pierce
2 Basilisk Collar
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Flooded Strand
4 Volcanic Island
4 Tundra
1 Island
1 Karakas
4 Wasteland
The sideboard is all to think, but for now I'm focusing on the main, by the way it will include some disenchant effect + Tormoid + null rod, we can even tutor them in the white version, if someone like it there's meddling mage waiting for her chance.
This is my list for now, feel free to tell me your opinions.
