Haven't seen this one posted yet so I figured I would share this with everyone.

Im from providence and have never heard of ur store personally, what type of numbers do you expect for your trial? do you run regular legacy events and if so whats ur regular attendance?

I know the store, they are mainly standard and extended players. The legacy format for this area is weak. The last one that actually remember was before mystic tutor banning, lots of reanimator. I'd come expecting tendils combo, countertop, merfolk, new horizons and maybe junk rock. Its hard to predict a metagame for a format that's weak in an area.

Yeah, the store does have a weak meta. As far as decks I would expect the following:

Dredge (Most likely LEDLess Dredge)
Merfolk
MAYBE Countertop
Infect (The guy who played infect in the SCG Legacy Open: Boston back in November plays here.)
Goblins

Basically expect to see quite a few powered up extended decks IMO. I know a few people from out by Boston are coming, as to their decks though I only know one is some Landstill variant and one is merfolk.

Outside of that, it is indeed a crapshoot. I am the only real Legacy player there, (Wasn't able to attend the last two legacy events due to family obligations.) As Zein has said, it is mainly a Standard/Limited Store.

P.S.: I don't own the store, just go there. The owner is Mike Brigoli of Misetings fame. I'm trying to rebuild the Legacy population here after Off the Wall stopped doing legacy and Dragon's lair went under.

You're looking at 3-4 carloads from Pawtucket as both my store and The Temple are going.

I've been to this store, it's good... just a little on the smallish side so I'm concerned about being turned away if space becomes an issue. We're leaving super early since it's close to 2 hours away from here.

They were, as predicted, full with 40 players. I ended up splitting in finals /w James from NY. We both played Team America. I had Thruns and some other stuff not in most of the normal lists. I'll do a report soon in the reports thread.

Very hard room. Alot of ringers.

I had alot of fun at this event. I don't get to go to events much anymore and I had one last chance to play with my Jaces before I give them away at my standard tourney today :p

The event was challenging and I got lucky in some spots against players much better than I. It looks like all of these trials are going to be well attended, and that's exciting. Legacy appears very healthy right now.

Despite 2 team america decks in finals, top 8 also had infect (7-0 before he lost in semis), goblins, zoo, RUG Tempo and Welder MUD.
