If you had to spend some money on legacy.. would you get a few FBB duals or ??

Most of the playable foils. Daze, fetchlands, brainstorms, swords to plowshares, iona, emrakul, ponder spell peirce, progenitus, counterbalance.

I think the FBB will only hold the vaule over time, the foils look amazing and would really make my decks look cool I dont see thier vaule dropping at all either. I know there will always be a higher end market for FBB duals and higher end foils.

If I really had to invest in something it'd be a Maddock's High Tide (still using a Drew Tucker version 'cause ever since Extended Tide my friends have been evil and refused to trade me the last Maddocks I need), and the 4th Enlightened Tutor I need to complete a set. Of course I'd also buy the shops stock of Grollubs.
- Nobody have High Tides in their trade binder and can't bring myself to walk in and just buy single a $1 card.

If I didn't had the staples I'd spend them on fetchlands and/or revised duals - they look prettier than blackboardered IMO and are cheaper than Unlimited (which also happens to look ugly) anyway. :-P

In rank of worth while investments that will never go down in value, and will always continue to rise:

1. Alpha and Beta Duals
2. FBB Duals
3. Revised and Unlimited Duals.
4. Power 9
5. Legacy Staples
6. Everything else.

In my opinion, dual lands, and under that fetch lands, are better investments than p9. They have a high percentage of a strong return on your investment. Alpha and Beta Duals, specially underground seas, now rival moxen and will soon overtake them. The simple reason is, you only need 1 mox, but you need 4 underground seas.

Ignore all the haters: FBB Duals first, Foils second. I hate white border cards with a passion, unless they are only available in WB (P3K) or incredibly baller (Summer). FBB have jumped really fast, as have most legacy staples. I don't see them going down anytime soon, and they look super hot. You won't regret it. I agree with KKoie, except for P9, I think they have pretty well leveled off for the time being. Legacy is the eternal format of choice these days, so those staples are a better place to put your money.

It seems to me that the deck that you listed first has FBB duals and no other pimp. Finish it.
It's better to have a deck that is actually pimp then to have a bunch of trash decks with FBB duals.

If you're trying to pimp, do it. If you're trying to make money or invest or some crap then buy a bunch of duals you don't need.

Between the two, easily the duals, but I dont care about either when it comes to getting cards; foils are a liability, and I'll take a broader library of staples over random cool ones any day.
