I think I may have found a real use for Enlightened Tutor.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands
3 [M10] Island
3 [U] Volcanic Island
1 [TSP] Swamp
4 [ON] Flooded Strand
4 [U] Tundra
1 [RAV] Plains
4 [U] Underground Sea
4 [ON] Polluted Delta

// Creatures
3 [MOR] Vendilion Clique
3 [SHM] Swans of Bryn Argoll

// Spells
4 [PLC] Extirpate
3 [ON] Oblation
4 [LG] Winds of Change
4 [LG] Chains of Mephistopheles
2 [A] Island Sanctuary
4 [IN] Recoil
4 [MI] Enlightened Tutor
4 [VI] Anvil of Bogardan
1 [ON] Words of War

So far I'm considering these for the sideboard:

Hurkyl's Recall
Words of War
Words of Worship
Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
Parallax Wave
The Abyss

I kinda chucked this thing together on a whim and haven't had an opportunity to test it too much, but so far it's looking pretty evil to me. If you're unfamiliar with the way Chains + Anvil work together, each player basically ends up going draw-discard-draw-discard in their draw step.

The burn and swarmish aggro matchups are my worst so far.

Cards like Bob, FoF, and AdN get around Chains. I'm seriously considering FoF, but I'm not sure where to put it.

Instant-speed cards are good because they can be cast between the first draw and the Chains discard. I don't believe that you can cast anything off the second (Anvil) draw, but if I am mistaken please correct me.

Winds of Change is more or less the only reason to include red, but once the soft lock is in place it's a 1-mana card that wipes your opponent's hand. Words of War has also proven quite handy with the enlightened tutor toolbox.

Obviously anything that does card draw for the opponent is gonna be a good time.

Sorry for the disjointed nature of this post, but it's desperately past my bed time. I just wanted to get this idea up so I could get some feedback in time for tomorrow or whenever I have another chance to get online :)

Deck's not doing as well as I'd've hoped... oh well. Dredge, Bob, and Crucible kinda ruin my day, so I've been considering running some combination of them on my end. Stinkweed Imp is getting some consideration, as is Dakmor Salvage, Squee, Cephalid Colliseum, Syphon Life, and The Rack. The creature base may be changing as well.

This deck does, however, make the Braintrain cry. A lot. If they're dumb enough to let me resolve Chains... I might be bringing in Hymns for this.
