Hey guys,

I'm going to be living in Bologna, Italy next year and I want to know if anybody knows anything about their Legacy scene. I found a Legacy league on TC Decks

http://www.thecouncil.es/tcdecks/deck.php?id=5844

but couldn't find any more information. Does anybody know anything? Thanks.

There is some legacy scene, but I don't have any info. You could ask on www.tipo1.it

I hope mtg in Bologna is better than what I experienced in Rome. I went a shop back in september called "Strategia e tattica" and it was pathetic. They had nothing in stock. They just had some boxes of old crappy sets like Coldsnap and they were like 5 or 6 euros a pack. A pack there basically costs 3 times what one does in a store in the US. Plus the guy working at the store was a total asshole. I was trying to make friendly conversation (I speak Italian) thinking he might be interested in talking about the game with an American. Apparently not. So, I hope it's better in Bologna! And if you go to Rome, don't waste your time going to Strategia e Tattica! That place sucks.

Thanks Pippo, I appreciate your help. Does Italy have an active Legacy scene in general?

Italy has a very active legacy scene in general. There are several local leagues that average 50+ people per tournament and usually a big event (150+ people) every couple of months. There's indeed a league in Bologna, called GBLL. You can find all the infos (in Italian unfortunately) here (http://www.tipo1.it/forum/viewtopic.php?p=278412#278412). Their tournament average 60-70 people usually.
There's also a huge legacy scene in Milan, that is only a couple of hours by train from Bologna. As Pippo wrote, the main Italian site for eternal is www.tipo1.it, you can find here all the infos you want (it's in Italian, but if you open a thread in the "Community" section, I think people will be more than happy to answer you in English).

If players from Rome don't go to S&T there might be a reason, am I wrong? The shop's name is well known for "historic" reasons, but you'd better not go there.

Do yourself a favor and ask a local if you are planning a trip to Italy, either here or on tipo1.it.

For example in Rome we had a 49-people legacy tournament on the 19 of september that you might have easily missed.

Thanks for the website, Cthuloo. It's definitely all in Italian but I should be able to figure it out. I'm looking forward to playing Legacy in Europe!

The best place to play Legacy in Rome is easily '' Galactus''. They arrange a monthly tournament averaging 50-55 players. Lots of people, lots of cards ( guys in the shop have almost anything you might need in stock) and lots of serious collectors that can help you finding the most obscure expensive or collectable cards. The shop has a pretty good selections between cards, sleeves, boosters etc.
Even in Ostia ( a bit outside Rome, like 20 min of train far) there is a monthly league ran by some players from Galactus (just ask the locals there and you will know). This league is a bit smaller and averages 35-45 players.
Strategia e Tattica has had its golden days but now is just a place full of idiots with some crazy prices.

Probably the most active city for playing 1.5 in Italy is Milan, though.

As stated by Cthuloo, Italy has a nice and active legacy scene. Just ask here or on tipo1.it and you will know everything you need about little local scenes or big tournaments held all over the peninsula.
