My first published Legacy article!
Hope you all enjoy it; it can be found here (http://www.blackborder.com/q/node/10451).
Pleasant reading!

Nice read Hollywood, was expecting some decklist featuring Tombstalkers but instead you go and show Lurking Nightstalkers :P
I would classify myself as a Stalker, except I don't intentionally build decks that murder decks in my metagame. My playgroup is fairly small ~20 people max, and most of the time, I'm playing/designing a deck for a more general metagame of 150+ people (even if I don't go to one). I don't really enjoy tier 1 decks because I already know they're great. Winning isn't the biggest part of MTG for me, deckbuilding and finding solutions/decklists that are innovative and finally work are much more rewarding for me. There's a ton of failures/mistakes in the process, but once you have a list that finally shows some promise, it's overall a great feeling that you can't get from just playing variations of tier 1 decks. The only exception being UWx Landstill for me, because I know that much of my failures with the deck is due to bad piloting (not terrible piloting, but it's a tremendously difficult deck to pilot correctly given that the deck is as fair as MTG can get i.e. it's a normal control deck with no cheating win-conditions).

Good article, although the title has caused "The Final Countdown" to play in my head. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Good read. It may be a bit more applicable somewhere where there is an actual Legacy scene, though.

Ah.. the legend of Bryant losing to Forests.
Thank you for this article reminding me of two of my favorite tournament reports ever:

Seriously, though, a really solid article. One comment: I do like to show my opponent what I sideboarded in and discuss how we boarded and why. It gives both of us a better understanding of how someone piloting an opposing deck thinks. I think it is actually a good thing to do. Gaining insight helps both players play better in the long run.
