Water Damage

A bit of water got on an Orim's Chant and a Revised Volcanic Island, so I have an interest in at least making them acceptable in a sleeve. Currently, if I put either of them in a sleeve, it is very easily noticeable in the deck.

The Orim's Chant has some damage to the ink, and is mildly warped. The black border seems a bit rough/bumpy, which I assume is a result of the water damage.

The Volcanic Island still seems to be in Excellent to Near Mint Condition, except for the slight warping. What I mean is that there is no damage to the ink, but it is warped enough to not be able to sit in a deck unnoticed.

I can upload pictures if it helps, but I was wondering if anyone knows a way to fix this, even if it means horribly ruining the picture. I just don't want to have to buy another $100 worth of cards unnecessarily.

My thought was to rewet them slightly with a paper towel, then let them dry again under a large stack of books so they dry flat. Getting wet and drying again didn't really mess anything up too much the first time around other than leave them warped, and I assume leaving them under a stack of books to dry will rewarp them flat?

Does anyone have experience with this?

You can try putting them in a toploader and have some heavy stuff sit on them for a few days.

You'll pretty much have to rewet them. As far as I know, they'll never change shape again if you don't.
I mean there is a possibility of hurting them more, but if they are unusable as it is, I don't think you have much to lose.

this, I ended up able to fix some of my cards when a water main broke when I was at work, If you can get to them while they are wet and have something to flatten them while they dry its best, you have to be careful rewetting them though, too much water and you can cause more damage.

I've heard a steam Iron works best. It sounds like that would work, but I have never tried it.

two shirts/sheets and steam iron? not hot though, and you might try to spray some water
